dear "Denis",

you too, fail to understand something.

it´s not about "tit for tat", it´s also not about "ruling the Albanians", ...that all sounds like cheap k-albanian propaganda from over-payed pseudo-"spin masters"...

autonomy means that the K-albanians will rule themselves, within sovereign serbian territory.

it´s difficult to understand for some, I know, but that´s the only alternative, and there will come the time that most K-albanians will realize it.

there can´t also be no talk of "making the lives of Albanians difficult", that´s also rather a quite superficial approach to the matter.

it´s more the K-albanians themselves, who make their own lives difficult these times, what´s even more sad, taken into account that the days of Slobo´s rule are over for almost a decade now...

but, it´s only a question of time...

and Serbia will prevail.

Burim Regaj, or Mirub Jager, as you like it,... you fail to understand that this is just another sign of that oh so obvious lack of "independence"...

Mr.Zannier may represent you, as a group. but that´s it in the end...

you may deny it now, but with time passing along, you will learn to accept it.

you will see.

I think you worry to much of the apparance and not of the substance of the matter.

Kosovo might have technical problems with its independence, but for sure Kosovo is not a sovereign part of Serbia, in any way, shape of form. Serbia has no control over Kosovo whatsoever besides blocking its participation in such conferences, which are not really vital to the existence of independence for Kosovo.

You are lucky this time cause this conference is organized by Spain, which did not recognize Kosovo ind. but chances are that next time you will not be this lucky.

So rather than focusing on these laughable "victories" of Serbia's politics, you better try to find a way of how to co-exist and normalize relations in that part of the region, and help provide prosperity and well being for all people beyond the status issue.

If you want to rule Albanians, you should forget it, you never will. If you think that making their lives difficult will make them agree on your conditions .... you are mistaken again.

For once, i want to see Serbia make a wise and prudent move and get away from this tit-for-tat Balkan style policy.

Kosovo is a temporarily occupied territory and Serbia treats it as such. Albanian over population and terrorist activity forced most of the native Serbs to leave. They will return when NATO loses its grip and some other world force takes over. As simple as that. Serbia just has to be patient and to insist that Kosovo is part of it. Serbia will never accept illegal government in Pristina and most of the countries will not recognise it neither. It will be in legal limbo until it collapses.

We all know that Kosova is not fully recognised internationally. We all know that UN has a status neutral position towards Kosova for the time being and that's why Kosova's name is not going to apear on the table in front of the FM Hyseni.I think that comments like this by Vuk is the most childish comment I have ever read and believe you me he is a joker. Read this (“That will already be clear tomorrow at the meeting of the UN Security Council. Serbia will be represented independently behind a sign that has the name of our country, while the officials of the temporary institutions of Priština will be led by (UNMIK Chief) Lamberto Zannier and their sign will only state his first and last name,” Jeremić said). What's this all about?? The Sarajevo meeting will be the first meeting when little Vuk is going to sit on the same table as Mr Hyseni without his BG number plate that he is so proud of and of course Lamberto Zannier will be there but he also will have no number plate as the deal was to have a Gymnich formula which will also apply to Mr Zannier. In this instance Serbia will not recognise Kosova but the reality on the ground that Kosova is a fact that can not be ignored and will be fully flegded country with or without Serbias blessing which Kosova never asked for in the first place.

Dear all, is this a conference of countriesora conference of organisations, institutions etc. No i belive this is a regioanl western ballkans countries conference with the EU. This means that Kosovo is a reality and a player. And it should be like that, the sonner Serbia realizes this the better. One cannot expect that Serbia will join the EU with Kosovos issue still open, this conference is a turning point for solving the problem between WB countries and it will turn a new page on the WB countries relationship with eachother and withthe EU.

Allow me to enlighten some of you posters on this site;

"Serbia will be represented independently behind a sign that has the name of our country, while the officials of the temporary institutions of Priština will be led by (UNMIK Chief) Lamberto Zannier and their sign will only state his first and last name"
-
This means exactly what it says; Serbia representing herself behind a sign with her name, and Kosovo being represented by head chief Lamberto Zannier, with a sign with his full name on it. What does this tell you? Are you a country? if so, you are not called Kosovo, rather your country's name is Lamberto Zannier in full.

"A firm agreement has been reached with the Spanish organizers, which was confirmed for us in a meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, that the format of the eventual participation of the temporary Priština institutions in Sarajevo will be in accordance with Resolution 1244, with the presence of UNMIK."
-
Again, this states exactly what it means. An agreement between the UN/EU officials have been met. RES. 1244 is in full effect, you are not a country.

fyi; You can all try to beat around the bush, but this is the facts stated by recognizable European officials, unlike the temporary ones in Pristina.

May this meeting bring enlightement amongst ourselves, and recognition of the official stance the Kosovo "officials" have taken. It is time to wake up.... we are coming close, and big change is coming Pristina's way.

Mirub Jager

pre 13 godina

My oh my. Jeremic fails to mention that unmik will represent an organization UN just as EULEX (EU) and its activities in Kosovo. I believe Jero is excited of these organizations being present during the summit for they'll serve as a cushion between the parties. However you look at it one can't ignore the fact that Hyseni will be treated the same as Jero if not better. One can easily imagine that countries recognizing Kosovo are the majority and as such will address to both FMs in same manner.
In conclusion, however you spin it this is a great loss for Serbia in short term but a win win situation for all participants.

"Jeremić said that the Priština government will be represented at the regional conference in accordance with Resolution 1244."

Yeah right, since the last time you walked out till now, nothing changed :D

"and said that he hopes that Priština will decide to participate as well."

LOL, bon appetit Serbia, see more proof that Vuk feeds on attention. If it was for him these "temporary institutions" would not exist, but who cares? :P

"He said, however, that Serbia will insist that Kosovo will not be able to be represented as an independent state."
You are the one forcing yourself out and isolate yourself. Only Romania supports you as a neighbour, regional means more than just 2 states who are holding others territory.

"He said that Serbia has analyzed the coming report of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon regarding Kosovo and that Belgrade will be “pointing out all omissions” in the report."

Oh what a surprise, the UN is wrong again, and their report should be outsourced to be filled in by Serbia who understands herself and that reality dosnt matter.

“Unfortunately, the situation on the ground has gotten worse since the last report of the Secretary General—mostly in the situation of the Serbs and other non-Albanian residents in the province. We will give details on this at the meeting,” he said, adding that the meeting is expected to be very tense, considering that it might be the last one before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) gives its opinion on the legality of Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence."

Last chance? promise? or will you hold the balkans hostige to further harasment with justifications of Ultran radical nationalist fear mongering?

"He also said that the decision of the ICJ could come as soon as the summer, which is not ideal since the summer is considered a “dead season” for diplomacy, but added that Serbia would be prepared regardless."

Will Serbia be really prepared for the death of their "peaceful dead diplomacy"?
I hope so, the time has come to settle this issue.
And Vuk is right that he will most certanly loose, the evidence is overwhelming against him, he is a diplomat, and if Serbs dont understand the preparation to falter based on pure fabrications, than thay have only themself to blame.
Be good neighbours, or stay ultra ethnic nationalists.

Just to make it clearer my point I will give you an example. How it comes that the Serbian officials CAN NOT cross into Kosovo/a without the permission of Kosvo/a authorities? That is just for start.

Where on earth you can see in Kosovo/a the signs of state of Kosovo/a, I mean showing the sovereignity over Kosovo/a? Who is controlling the borders of Kosovo/a? I have more facts if you like. So please stop misleading the Serbian people...

If think this is clear enough; "The eventual participation of the temporary Priština institutions"- says it all.

And Vuk is right that he will most certanly loose, the evidence is overwhelming against him, he is a diplomat, and if Serbs dont understand the preparation to falter based on pure fabrications, than thay have only themself to blame.

thank you, ifred. there are some very strong and well-spoken comments today, and i appreciate it. we can analyze situations, without personal attacks, without all of the ubiquitous racist pejoratives. speaking w/ a civil tongue elevates the discussion. all of the ugly put-downs are unnecessary and more descriptive of the writer than anything or anyone else.

Allow me to enlighten some of you posters on this site;

Dear all, is this a conferenceof countriesora conference of organisations, institutions etc. No i belive this is a regioanl western ballkans countries conference with the EU. This means that Kosovo is a reality and a player. And it should be like that, the sonner Serbia realizes this the better. One cannot expect that Serbia will join the EU with Kosovos issue still open, this conference is a turning point for solving the problem between WB countries and it will turn a new page on the WB countries relationship with eachother and withthe EU.

doodah

pre 13 godina

he conference is exactly like the original plan and the EU has not caved to Serbian threats. Kosovo will not be displayed as an independent country because NO one even Serbia will be displayed as an independent country.
The rest sounds like "We are going to make our voices loud while falling on deaf ears."

If Kosovo is represented in accordance with 1244 why isn't Serbia represented as Serbia then?

Burim Regaj, or Mirub Jager, as you like it,... you fail to understand that this is just another sign of that oh so obvious lack of "independence"...

Mr.Zannier may represent you, as a group. but that´s it in the end...

you may deny it now, but with time passing along, you will learn to accept it.

you will see.

Sorry to be the one to point this out to you, but it seems that you have reversed the roles in this game. Your Kosovo "officials" are the ones who need to and are going to follow protocol. This is standard in Europe, and in all legal entity's, you seem to be a newcomer, so welcome to Europe. :)

Jovan

dear "Denis",

you too, fail to understand something.

it´s not about "tit for tat", it´s also not about "ruling the Albanians", ...that all sounds like cheap k-albanian propaganda from over-payed pseudo-"spin masters"...

autonomy means that the K-albanians will rule themselves, within sovereign serbian territory.

it´s difficult to understand for some, I know, but that´s the only alternative, and there will come the time that most K-albanians will realize it.

there can´t also be no talk of "making the lives of Albanians difficult", that´s also rather a quite superficial approach to the matter.

it´s more the K-albanians themselves, who make their own lives difficult these times, what´s even more sad, taken into account that the days of Slobo´s rule are over for almost a decade now...

but, it´s only a question of time...

and Serbia will prevail.
