If the EU Bank or its associated organisation had invested one tenth of the monies so far announced in the last decade, then Serbia would be the wealthiest country in Europe, but I think it’s the same old cheques going around and around in circles.

These are the same funds initially offered to rebuild Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and now back to the Balkans again. Why does all this sound like the EU needs to constantly re-enforce its message of “helping Serbia” considering so far the majority of monies spent in Serbia came from the sale of Serbian assets and borrowings? I have a feeling that the Serbian people are not stupid to believe these empty promises when EU is battling its own financially demons that is threatening its very survival. Just look at the value of the EU currency.
