"-Iowe, we Albanians, have been saying that for years. Its the dimwit Serb politicians that have been saying the opposite over and over again for years. Kosova's prime minister and other politicians can't get any clearer; as a matter of fact everyone else in the West can't get any clearer. We have been loosing our breath telling your camp that sitting, meeting someone at gatherings over and over again doesn't mean recognizing them. Then your camp diverges into stupidities such implicit, explicit, more then this less than that, Zanier comes, Zanier doesn't come. All stupidities. Whether or not Zanier shows up doesn't mean a thing in terms of recognition. Nobody wants or expects Serbia to recognize. Heck even us in this forum don't give a hoot whether Serbia recognizes or not. Get over yourselves. If you wanna show up, show up, if not don't show up; and showing up or not is not equal to recognizing or not. Your stupid politicians corner themselves by engaging in stupid politics. It was little Vuk and Tadic that stated that going to a meeting equaled recognition; it wasn't us. Now that you're made and ordered to go to such meetings, the same politicians and you are coming out eating your words and saying that going to a meeting doesn't equal recognition. Well geniuses nobody else said that before but the Serbs. I guess it really takes years before the Serb camp figures out what the rest of the world already knew.

And Serbia is not the only one who doesn't recognize you. Neither does two thirds of the world. Nor the UN. Also not, by the way, by the K-Serbs. And yes, you will have to get used to these non-recognitions.

As for your "Now that you're made and ordered to go to such meetings", I wasn't aware that Serbia was forced to attend the meeting. What fantastic insider info do you possess that nobody elses have?

Having all the parties seated on the same table in Sarajevo is a great step forwards for the region.

Serbia needs to continue its reforms and it needs to fulfill its obligation of arresting and extraditing Ratko Mladic if it wants to move closer to the EU.

Bosnia needs to make fundamental changes to its discriminatory and dysfunctional constitution if it wants to move closer to the EU.

Even though Serbia will probably never accept Kosovo as an independent state it will have to come to terms with the reality that Kosovo is never going to be ruled from Belgrade again and that having good relations between Belgrade and Pristina is in everybody's interest.

Let's hope that the meeting will be successful and that the relations between all attending nations will be improved as a result. We need to see the EU take the initiative to encourage all nations to continue with their reforms and to improve the lives of their citizens.
(FairPlay, 11 May 2010 19:16)

You speak of Bosnian Constitutional reforms?

Yeah, Thats in the Republika Srpska's hands. The Bosnian Federation has said countlessly that they are all ears only to be followed by Dodiks anti Bosnian comments about "a peaceful dissolution".

Some things are easier said than done.

Serbia recognizing Kosovo would the biggest thing in the Balkans since Gavrilo Princip and his little pistol.

Both answers lie with Serbia.
Will Serbia please the ENTIRE world and accept Kosovo?

Will Republika Srspka open their ears and find their state on the map of Bosnia or are they still hallucinating and see themselves in Serbia. All while they accept that a Bosnian democratic reform is necessary.

Oh? Both Answers lie with Serbia.

I guess they are such a big player in the Balkans after all.

No wonder they are known as the Black Sheep of the Balkans.

By the way, China and Taiwan meet informally countless times too. So do the Israelis and Palestinians. And yet both Taiwan and Palestine remains shut out of the UN up to now.

I can't even say that either Taiwan or Palestine have "thousand times more" legitimacy than the "Project KosovA" because thousand times zero is still zero.

This comment made me laugh. Such a typical troll-like way of taking something out of context completly.... Kosovo is Serbia,, but wait a minute, a Serb man killed an ethnic Albanian man in Kosovo.... therefore; Serbs do not deserve Kosovo.

With this mentality; your so called allies shouldnt even exist on the map, concidering their history of violence and extermination... ponder on this, but dont try to hard, we wouldnt want you to hurt yourself.

"So your point is that Great Serbia is equal to Israel and China? common, the next thing you will say is that you dont need EU becouse the Swiss and Norway dont need it.

I think it will be a very long day for Vuk, i bet he will be seated between Romania and Cyprus. So how much is Vuk willing to give for their support is my question to anybody..
(iFred, 11 May 2010 17:48) "

I didn't say that Serbia is equal or not to China, Israel or anyone else. That is not the issue at all. My point was that you can meet someone at a gathering, and meet them over and over again, without recognizing them.

And yes, I think a country can propper without being a EU member just like the Swiss and Norweigens. As long as they get their economic acts right. You wouldn't exactly call Greece properous now, would you?

End of the day, Kosovo itself remains unrecgonized by the UN. And unrecognized by the organizers themselves (Spain and Bosnia) I must add. So, Serbia doesn't have to "give" away anything. In fact, Pristina is really the one doing the giving when it agreed to have UNMIK there no matter how it tries to gloss over this.

The only time that an official has been more ridiculous than Mr. Jeremic in his claims, was when Communist Party members in Albania used to proclaim that Albania was winning the war "against western imperialism, despite some temporarily setbacks".

But that was some 25 years ago. I hope for the good of Serb people, it won't take 25 years for this nation to come to its senses.

In fact, Pristina is really the one doing the giving when it agreed to have UNMIK there no matter how it tries to gloss over this.

Iowe said: "I didn't say that Serbia is equal or not to China, Israel or anyone else. That is not the issue at all. My point was that you can meet someone at a gathering, and meet them over and over again, without recognizing them. "

-Iowe, we Albanians, have been saying that for years.

This [link] makes Mr. Jeremic look like a clown when he talks about his "compromises" that Serbia has to offer.
