A large majority of citizens living in the city earn in between EUR 60-110 each month, but at the same time, there are people earning EUR 1,800 and people who earn in between EUR 4,000 and 5,000 each month, Ljajić said.
I think he may have uncovered where the 5 million from the Serbian budget is spent.

“This enables us to REMAIN AT THE TABLE where we are being discussed, and again, we DID NOT accept the participation of Kosovo as a state entity at the conference,” Ljajić said.

First, I would like to say that I am happy and optimistic about the fact that all the countries including Kosovo and Serbia will be represented at the Sarajevo conference. I am also happy that Serbia has finally realized, through EU state pressure, that in order to improve the livelihood of Serbians living in Kosovo and in the spirit of regional cooperation talks about technical matter can begin between the two parties.
Ljajic said: “That a result in which the Kosovo Albanians win and everyone else loses is not sustainable…”
Nice spin Mr.Ljajic, I have to give you that. However, the Albanians did not get everything they wanted Mr. Ljajic- Kosovo’s negotiations team definitely made hard and very difficult compromises in order to achieve a supervised independence. Just because we embraced a compromised solution does not mean that we got everything. What did Serbia loose? They lost the right to prosecute, to abuse, to strip the basic human rights of Albanians, to torture, to massacre, to kill 10K Albanians. The independence was a necessary settlement to ensure that what happened in Kosovo between 1912 until 1999, and especially in the last decade of the last century, would never happens again. Kosovo cannot be a part of Serbia no matter how democratic Serbian gov’t says they are. One way or another some day another Milosevic is going to come to power and do the same thing all over again. No way, no how, we won’t allow that to happen ever again. We owe at least that to our forefathers and to our future generations. And any self-respecting Albanian politician will not do that either, otherwise he will not be representing the will of the majority of the people in Kosovo and he would very easily loose power via elections.
In addition, may I remind you that somewhat ~67 countries have recognized Kosovo and many of the main EU countries have consistently expressed that Kosovo’s independence is irreversible. I am not sure what you don’t get about that message. This is a message that is coming from the most influential countries in the EU, yes that EU, the one Serbia wants to be a part of it so badly.

It almoat sounds if Albanians "win" then Serbia is looking to partition or will eventually look to recognize? This article can be misinterperted in many ways.

"... a result in which the Kosovo Albanians win and everyone else loses is not sustainable, and is not good for Kosovo, because it cannot become a member of any international forum."

There is NOTHING RATIONAL in minister's comments.

With Kosovo/a's independence from Serbia is not only Albanians who won but the whole region. There is no more ethnic cleansing and now there is REAL prospect for peace and stability in the Balkans.

"...it is not good for Kosovo/a..? Who told him that...Sure NOT the overwhelming majority of Kosovo's residents.

"...a member of international forums..". Is that vital if that statement is correct would that be really so vital for Kosovo/a to give up its sovereignity? No man with a bit of brain would believe that.

A, you lost everything? You said you were an independent country an you won nothing. I guess the hard reality that the UDI is a failure is finally settling in. Instead of cutting of your nose to spite your face, you should gave thought about an acceptable compromise that would have allowed both sides to be happy should have been reached. Now, as you say, you have won nothing.

Albanians won nothing while Serbs in Kosovo everything. Albanians in the name of the multiculturalism gave Serbs more rights than any minority in the world. Albanians have lost a lot by giving Serbs and EU veto right when it comes to changing constitution etc.
