dear Skiff, your comment made me smile!
not because it is presenting you as a young dreamer, but because today´s Albanians have no connection to the Illyrians from the past, and referring to "Dardania" like your little stone-collector Rugova used to do, makes you look quite premature.

thanks for that, dude.

First of all am glad my comment made you smile:) dude,

Secondly you said that Modern Albanians have no connection with illrians.

I commend you for that insightful statement it really made me deprecate that Ilirians are my possible ancestors.

and lastly i care not about what you or any other think about me pretaining to my last comment.

Haha. This was the most stupid proposal I have heard. What I have heard, I think the US know by now that the ICJ will rule agains the declaration of independence. But more and more countries realize that it was dead wrong to recognize a small piece of land belonging to someone else. When I came to Kosovo just after the conflict (yes, conflict not war) me and everybody else were 100% sure that the Serbs were the bad guys. Today, 90% of the world know that this was truly wrong. And the clock is surely ticking in Serbias favour. You will see !
(Soldierblue, 6 May 2010 15:18)

Blue Soldier?
Your not one of the soldiers who wore blue hats in Bosnia and partied with Serbs when they were supposed to be defending the Serbian enemys.

Oh thats right, your UN and Nato. Backstabbers.

That's the most stupid response that this FM has ever given out. He will change his mind in no time!

Tell us why he would do that.
You seem to know something the rest of us don't.

Res 1244 is guaranteeing Serbian sovereignty until another settlement is negotiated of Kosovo remains part of Serbia. US knows this otherwise they would not ask for it to be removed and here you are saying something to ridiculous.

Just tell us why.

Skiff

It comes down to this, negotiate a settlement, that's it, that's the bottom line. Either deal with this simple fact, or continue down the path of absolute dependency on the West, crime, and despair. Kosovo is 10x worse than Bosnia, and Bosnia is a barely functioning on a razors edge.

Serbia requests and asks for negotiations in good faith which is fair to BOTH communities. It's surprising to hear that albanians wont'/can't match those same needs and or interests.

Until then, Kosovo is a Serbia.
(michael, 6 May 2010 18:44)

Some of you belive that serbia is in position to dictate terms in reality they arent, we will be forced to start negotiationg really by who?

the west supports us get over it they wont change policy. why was serbia evading our call for negotiations in early 2000s but now that we declared independece they need negotioantions, we moved on without serbia just like they passed their constitution without kosovars,

its time to move on and reconsile with the Dardanian Republic.

Adrian Kola, sorry but your comment is far superior in it's level of stupidity.

Obviously, you just can't get over the fact that China and Russia will VETO anything that Serbia wishes pertaining to the UN Security Council via Kosovo. When the rubber meets the road, Serbia has VETO power and UN resolution 1244 remains in effect.

Tadic and Jeremic have already made their offer to the US.Kosovo division. It is not suprising, this is what Djindic had in mind before he got shot.Still most of the serbs are south of Ibar river and living among the albanian majority. Let's see what Uncle Sam does with the offer.

BELGRADE -- Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić says changing UN Security Council Resolution 1244 on Kosovo is “out of the question”.

Well this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. This in reality isnt news. Yet I agree that the world should be reminded of this fact.

Resolution 1244 still stands, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. It is time for all of us to act mature at this point, and act legally. The law stands for everyone, no exceptions. Tis a Good day :)

The Albanians jump on any "positive" news, however suspect it's source because they are so desperate to legitimise their position. It'll be interesting whether the ICJ also support the Kosovo Albanian view - or not.

If the ICJ rules in Kosovo's favour then contrary to what Serbia says it'll probably have no choice but to improve relations with Pristina and ultimately recognise it - even if that is 10,20,30 years down the line. More intersting is what the Albanian position will be if the ICJ rules emphatically in Serbia's favour. We all know the current KA position - no talks, ICJ opinion is advisory only. But the Germans let the cat out of the bag when they said that the status quo would change in this situation and it would be unrealistic to think the Albanians could stick to their position about no negotiations, especially if Germany decided that was in the best interests of the region - as germany is effectively the bank of Europe at the moment.
