Court drops charges against hooligans

A new decision of a Belgrade court has concluded the investigation against five hooligans suspected of endangering the safety of a B92 journalist.

Does the statement 'It remains unclear why the prosecution, which first submitted a request for the investigation, decided to back away' imply that someone somewhere received a 'phone call'?

If it did, then there needs to be prosecution of those who made the phone call for 'perverting the course of justice'.

This kind of corruption has been a sad part of the way politics has been run - it would be good to see a few corrupt people arrested and imprisoned for this kind of behaviour.

Of course, in this case it could well be that there was serious reflection and it deserved to be dropped because of lack of any strong evidence and the lack of any meaningful chance of obtaining a justified conviction.
