@Peggy

So who is going to do a wonderful job in Serbian politics?

What do you want them to achieve?

Do you want them to tell Europe and the US to go away, expel diplomats and tell the world where they are doing everything wrong?
=====================

Colin, are you actually saying that America and Europe have forced Tadic to make that declaration?
They force him but not the others. You expect me or anyone else to be OK with that?
I don't want them to expel anyone. What I do want them to do is not declare that they are guilty when they know the other sides will not do the same.
Like I said, if Serbia is the only country owning the guilt why would history judge us any different?

Please don't compare Australian American relations to Serbian American relations. Serbia has other clear choices and some of those choices are being adopted by Australia as well. I am talking about China.

Serbia does not share common background like Australia does with America. Serbia shares common background with Russia which is getting stronger every day. The world will not have only one super power like they do now. The world will have several powers in charge of their own regions.

Sure, let's get beaten up and robbed by the bully only to embrace the bully and say we are sorry.

What the hell is wrong with you? If we did that because we faced a stronger opponent we would've buddied up to Germany.

Can't see that being successful in any way shape or form. Australia, with its worldly position is unable to tell the US and others that imperial colonialisation of the middle east is wrong. We simply stay silent on anything thats wrong - and here, we arent surrounded by hawkish neighbours.

If Nikolic gets in, watch him transform into a similar leader to Tadic.

Because he will realise very quickly he has no choice. Kostunica wasnt much different in my opinion, yet he complains all the time - mainly cos he wants to be the man.

Tadic is playing a dual role, and doing it well in my opinion. He is bolstering Serbia's world position. The only way to win over the west, and win this unjust loss of Kosovo is to play the diplomatic game.

DFP,
You have to be more open minded. Regular people died during this conflict on all sides. Each side at times took out their anger on innocent people. The US military, for instance, did some great harm to people around the world, including dropping the world's only A-bomb in history, yet I and other regular Americans are not responsible for the innocent deaths caused by violent US actions. When Croatia, for instance, decided to break away from Jugoslavia, and Serbs didn't want to be a part of a new Croatia and fought back, did that mean the average civilian had to pay for it in operation storm? By your logic, if I dare to use such a high word for such a poor conception, all civilians are fair game. In my world they are not. Until you realize how foolish you sound and how poorly formulated your sophomoric argument is, you will continue to wallow in mediocrity. By the way, DFP is a great acronym for you, so long as I define what DFP stands for.

Tadic, don't hold your breath.
I always said that Serbia adopting Srebrenica declaration will only result in the world seeing Serbs as the only aggressors as nobody else will do the same.

Bosnia has already announced they will not.

Tadic, you have to go. Next election is your goodbye party. If you are still around then Serbia deserves what she gets.

I pity the Serbs block headed blindness. They can never let go and seem not to be able to understand that in this past round of conflict in the 1990's, they created their own misfortune. They got what they earned. Can they never learn that when you follow the policy of 'an eye for an eye', albeit a generation or so later, it just keeps the conflict and hatred alive through future generations and solves nothing.

Its almost impossible to take off your black shirts when they are stuck to your skin.

It is said that Bosnian Muslim and Croatian children are taught to hate Serbs.

A friend of mine here in the UK is going out with a girl who is half Croatian. He tells me that when he visits her family in Croatia all they do is sit around and talk about how much they hate the Serbs and how much the Serbs are to blame for everything. He is quite shocked at the racism around the dinner table.

She is an intelligent girl but mention Serbs and she turns into this angry girl spitting poison all over the place. This is something that must come from her Croatian in laws.

As shocking as this sounds what surprised me was that my English friend thought that the Serbs had fought with the Nazis during WW11, so the reinvention of history is also in play.

I think this statement by the Serbian Parliament is a good move. Again the Serbs are trying to lead the way in reconciliation. But the next step is to preserve historical truth and teach it.

This should be followed by anti racist programmes.

Sports is a good way of promoting the fight against racism. Football players in the UK have done alot to root out racism.

The fact that Serbia even has to ask for this declaration is shameful!

I seriously doubt that many of its neighbors will condemn the awful crimes.

I Know NATO will definitely not support this.
