Kudos Mr.Rogozin,
let`s call a spade a spade.
You know what the difference is between Serbs and Russians?
Russians are warriors and patriots and they stand together as 1 in defending Russian interests while liberal (and there are a lot of them)Serbs on the Serbian version of this B92 news say how this is not true, actuelly defending these war criminals in Pristina, that Russia has never helped us(forgot 1878,1914 and 1944?)and those other Western platitudes about Russia?
Why are Serbs hating their country and defending those Serbian enemys?
Do they think in their defetistic and pacifistic way that Albanians will begin liking Serbs if they badmouth themselves or appease them?

Personal attacks on this guy by the Albanian mob here don't dispute what he says. I believe he is correct in what he says about weakening Serbia. The US and EU do not want a dominant power in the Balkans that can cause wars again so they chose to create "stability" by weakening all. Even if you look at Kosovo, there is no army. It has a emergency response force that thinks it is an army but wouldn't stand up to any other army in the region. NATO isn't training the KSF to fight in a war. It is training it to do disaster relief like it did in Albania. NATO is no longer the Cold War protector it was. It is now a way of keeping all of Europe in line and stopping wars between member states. Look at Greece and Turkey. Two countries that politically don't get along are stationed together at Camp Bondsteel. Creating this illusionary stability keeps the peace. And Kosovo will never be allowed to join with Albania or it would upset this stability. NATO won't allow it nor will the EU because it threatens that stability. Unless both want to be left out in the cold, they will have to accept the status quo. I'm also sure the US would not recognize a unified Kosovo and Albania like it recognizes China's claim to Taiwan and does not recognize South Ossetia's claim of independence.
Please don't attack the guy who said this. Attack his arguments. He makes more sense than those who call him names because of his comments.

Interesting that he didn't bring up South Ossetia and Abkhazia during his speech. It seems that Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity are not as important as Serbia's even though they are both UN members.
I wonder how this duplicitous Russian policy is justified to the Russians back home. So is Russia saying that international law applies to other countries but not to Russia itself? That would fatally weaken his argument in support of Serbia. By saying that Russia is disrespecting Georgian sovereignty because the West disrespected Serbia's they are in effect condoning the actions of the West and have lost any moral high-ground to stand on.
It's very much like one bandit calling another bandit a thief.

Completely ridiculous comments. A country's sovereignty isn't immune to heinous actions against its citizens. Just like your neighbor next door, one respects a home's sovereignty if the owners can act in a reasonable and compassionate manner. If the owner is torturing the children and polluting the block, the owner's autonomy will be pierced. The owner forfeits all rights and the larger community will respond. In fact, it is immoral if they don't. This is both to protect the human rights of the children involved and the larger good of others.
Some Serbs want to see themselves as complete victims. This is a song that few care to hear any more. Get over it. Kosovo was lost at least a decade before the wars. I suspect that the people who keep whining about Kosovo will not respect the ICJ ruling if it does not support what they think. So, quite frankly, who cares what you think. Are you the same people who threaten 12 year-old boys? Enough.

"Rogozin was quoted as saying today that international law and the UN system recognize a right to self-determination, but that territorial integrity takes precedence. "
Now thats an outright lie. There's nothing out there that specifically states that territorial integrity takes precedence over self-determination just like there is nothing out there that specifically states that self-determination takes precedence over territorial integrity. The law is mute on this issue, and that is the simple truth. That is exactly why each case is dealt with separately and that is why there is no magic formula. That is exactly why self-determination or territorial integrity cases are not handled in the same manner traffic tickets are handled. That is why becoming a state is a process, that is why there are new states that are formed and old states that do not exist. The law is not rigid at this point just like it isn't clearly expressive on the side of territorial integrity or on the side of self-determination. The law is purposefully ambiguous; so that those states were there are no disputes can continue to exist and maintain their territorial integrity, and so that those states where disputes over territorial integrity and self-determination issues are so great that threaten the lives and futures of the peoples within that state can be dealt on a case-by-case manner depending on the severity of the situation and on the options available where self-determination or territorial integrity can take precedence over each other again depending on the situation.

This is the guy that represents Russia in NATO. I know...a joke isn't it? I don't think he was talking to serbs, or Kosovo people. He was talking to ALL western countries that recognized Kosovo. He is implying that all those countries who recognized "Bandit state" are bandits themselves.

yes Tani that link really it will explain who is the real BANDIT and he is using a HEROIC words does he really knows what mean that word ??? when it comes to the history about Serbia and Russia what history tell as for last 100 years about they "heroic agenda"!!!! it is just unbelievable for the human race
pre 14 godina
Thank you Dmitry Rogozin! From your mouth, to God's ears.
pre 14 godina
Russia's envoy to NATO also hailed Serbia as the country of a heroic nation that has fought for its freedom and right to exist “during its entire existence”.
So true! Serbia is surrounded by bandits who want nothing but our demise. However, Serbia has always survived and will continue to do so.

“We know that each sin has its name and surname, and such bandit creations cannot survive,” the Russian diplomat said
What's the name and surname for the sins of Abkhazia,S.Osetia,Chechnya? There might be some truth in your words though.Kosovo will be Albania in a couple of decades.
pre 14 godina
know that each sin has its name and surname, and such bandit (...) cannot survive,” the Russian diplomat said.
Yeap, name Dmitry surname Rogozin.
pre 14 godina
Enough.
It is clear why Russia and China are willing to give Serbia support on this issue. Interesting how their human rights records are equally repugnant.

It looks like the Russians are in-charge of Serbia next they will be saying Serbs are Russians from Siberia might be plausibly interesting.
pre 14 godina
Whole world knows this is true, but russinas have no problem saying it aloud.
And it will only last until everyone gets tired of feeding this criminal entity.
pre 14 godina
This man can be anything but a diplomat. By the way, his middle name is "confrontation with NATO", hence his position as Russia's representative in NATO is completely justified.
pre 14 godina
C'mon man you should worry about Russia's survival. Do you know that Russia's population is decreasing?. Do you know that American and Canadian families are adopting Russian kids?, I wonder why!.

whenever you hear the term "strong serbia" coming out of the mouth of a russian politico... translate that to "our lackey"

Oh God help me.
Thought I will not write today!,but I failed.
If I don't hear from Russian diplomats for next 40years I will die very happy.
nonsence,nonsence,nonsence.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!! What Rogozin has said is dead on, 100% TRUTH!!!!!! I have nothing to add because that man has said it all!!!! I just wish Serbian president wasn't so spineless!!!

Dear Dragan !
Thanks for you last night comment. I believe you need Rogozin kinda men to call spade a spade. By now I know one and his name is T.Nikolic.
Good luck Serbia !
(Rote, 29 April 2010 22:00) Rote. When will the Kremlin be issuing Russian passports to the Serbs like to the other three so they can travel on the Siberian express to the Serb Oblast. Just remember to pull the shades when you pass one of the thousand sprawling gulags you do not want to be scaring your Serb friends and have them jumping off the trains before their destinations.
pre 14 godina
Mr Rogozin, the only thing bandit-like is your statement!
pre 14 godina
It's very much like one bandit calling another bandit a thief.
pre 14 godina
I think Rogozin was being way to diplomatic. I think he actually meant 'bastard' creation since at the end of the day Kosovo presently really belongs to no-one least of all the K-lAbs. No-one will really want it either and you guys can forget joining Albania becaus edespite Berisha barking a bit of support the 'real' ALbanians don't really want you. They always felt you betrayed them during the Hodza years and were ungrateful at the freedoms that you got in the old Yugoslavia and then you went and destroyed those freedoms. Serbia will take Kosovo back but it will be on her terms. Getting off the beaten track here -when the American people wake up from their Washington induced coma and find out the real score regarding who the K-ALbs are and Kosovo you will be in trouble so enjoy the sympathy card.

You ask “who cares what you think” and then you answer that at least “Russia and China are willing to give Serbia support on this issue” So you’re right we do care !
Lenard :
“next they will be saying Serbs are Russians from Siberia”
No need to say that cause the truth is even worse for you. Not only religion and history is uniting us. We two have the will power others cannot enjoy.

He makes more sense than those who call him names because of his comments.
pre 14 godina
Not very diplomatic words coming from this diplomat!
pre 14 godina
... but, if Serbia enters NATO, we will reconsider our stance towards Kosovo.
One has really no choice but to commend the coherence of Russian foreign policy.

I fall down laughing when Canadians criticize others over alliances. And speaking of lackeys, the American puppet in Tblisi has done such a wonderful job confronting Russia. Serbia should strengthen its ties with Russia not only for Orthodox solidarity but because today's Russia is resurging while Obama's America is declining. No honest American would dispute that. Ohh....thank you Canada and Georgia for sending us your kids to get slaughtered in Af-stan.

Since the russians say it than it must be true.
LOL What a joke. I would love now for Serbia to just join the Russian sphere of influence all the way. Than in 10 years when it finds itself bare of all its worth from the brotherly band of Putin we see who is what. My two cents in this are forget Russia and turn west
pre 14 godina
The refine words of a "diplomat".
To me this is much more concerning to Russia, considering the crop of diplomats it relies on.
There are many ways to convey a message. Using this kind of words reflects weakness.
pre 14 godina
All I can say is that the time when Russia dictated the east european countries is over.Russia has a thousands of problems inside its borders and is in no position to give moral lessons at the same time that they still haven't resolved their own problems. But anyway, let the dog bark..
pre 14 godina
all in all, there must be something to it, since I have noticed that as soon as a russian official says something about our southern province our dear k-albanian friends are getting quite nervous!
of course, they are writing as if they were a super-power themeselves, wearing their heads up high..but in the end, it´s the k-albanians who are living under the worst living-conditions just because they are being duped by the "one and only super-power"... =)
kids, you make me smile each day I take a look in here.
thanks for that.
ps:
unortunately for you,Rogozin is right.
this freak-creation on southern-serbian territory will not last forever. and that´s something you can count on.

How is the recognition for the "none bandit state" of Abkhazia going? They got 67 recognitions yet? I didn't think so.
pre 14 godina
Kudos Mr.Rogozin,
let`s call a spade a spade.
You know what the difference is between Serbs and Russians?
Russians are warriors and patriots and they stand together as 1 in defending Russian interests while liberal (and there are a lot of them)Serbs on the Serbian version of this B92 news say how this is not true, actuelly defending these war criminals in Pristina, that Russia has never helped us(forgot 1878,1914 and 1944?)and those other Western platitudes about Russia?
Why are Serbs hating their country and defending those Serbian enemys?
Do they think in their defetistic and pacifistic way that Albanians will begin liking Serbs if they badmouth themselves or appease them?
pre 14 godina
Funny.. can't see any comments from team Albania about future recognition from Russia here ;)

Acutally Russias population is increasing. The downward trend was finally ended by Putins plan. Last year Russia had a +29,000 change in birth/death.
Canada/US are losing people... its only becuase of immigration thats keeping these two countries going. Especially Canada.... where on average a couple has 1.3 kids.
