True, their goals aren't ethnical ones. But I'm sure that there is not a single Serbs in Kosovo who support their goal of an "independed Kosovo".

But they are not politial neither, otherwise they would form a party and become democratically legitimated.

So far they are only protestors who don't accept neither Serbia being responsible for Kosovo, nor UNMIK, nor the current Kosovo state and it's institutions.

Vetëvendosje is not an ethnically oriented organisation: it is a political one, against the state of Serbia's damaging interference in Kosovo's affairs, not against Serbs. It is expressedly against framing Kosovo's problems in ethnic terms.

Also, it is not a truthful presentation of the 2007 demonstration to say that the protesters "died in clashes with international police". In fact, they were killed at around 10m distance, with many years outdated (and thus very hard) rubber bullets aimed at their heads, with the UN and others later confirming that neither they nor the crowd represented a threat to anyone when UNMIK police attacked.

Mike, in Kurti's weired opinion, Kosovo isn't free. He doesn't respect the law and courts, and not the elected government and the state bodies.

When Kosovo will be eventually partioned one day, the UN shouldn't forget to split up some area in the Illyrian Alps to create an own kingdom of "Kurtistan" for him and his "supporters". There, he can form the laws like he wants to. Good idea?

If the very people who are supposed to be citizens of a "free" and "independent" Kosovo can't even respect (let alone acknowledge) the apparent rule of law, what gives anyone the idea extending this wonderful judicial system to the Serb enclaves is going to work?

Ohh.. Pity! So predictable! What a short episode of this weekly soap opera, starring King Kurti the lawless and the professional lawyers, with the Kosovo Hills Cops playing a supporting role.

Stay tuned for next episode, to be broadcast on May 5th - maybe it will be more fun than this one!
