I wonder how much time this little lie is going to buy them this time.
If people fall for this then they deserve what they get.

I really can't be bothered to keep harping on the same thing over and over.
BTW, how many fools live in Serbia? We will find the answer to that question at the next election.

SimpleFacts, Mladic won't be arrested because Serbs don't want the EU/NATO. The EU/NATO is a mess, even a potential catastrophe waiting to happen.

Until Mladic is arrested and extradited to the Hague Serbia will not be able to move towards joining the EU. The EU has lowered its standards till now to give Serbia a glimmer of hope to continue on a path of reform but allowing a country that willfully hides (and indirectly aids) Europe's most wanted war criminal is simply not an option. Serbia has to make a choice either they want to move towards a peaceful and prosperous future (in which Mladic is in jail) or they move back to the war, poverty, and isolation of the 90s.

DS has been saying that the EU is around the corner for years and years. Why would now be different than before? Not only does it not benefit serbia to be in this, but it is simply unreal to join it that fast.

I think that Serbia could obtain EU candidate status in December 2011.

Serbia will need 7 years to join the EU once the accession negotiations begin.

If Serbia begins accession negotiations in 2012 the country will join the EU in 2019.

If accession negotiations begin in 2013 Serbia will join the EU in 2020.

I think it is more likely that Serbia will be joining the US of Albania by 2014 that the EU.

@PRN: thanks, PRN to explain to us your "megalo-Albania" dream.
Unfortunately (for you) it won't happen because we all will rather join Magyar Gárda and will take not just Tirana and Szkopje - but also Tokyo. M.G. guys are bigger and stronger fascists than you. But you can come here and get some lesions from them and their 88 colleagues. Your colleagues?

That would be great. Then Serbs can be poor, uneducated, undeveloped and left out just like albanian territories are.

“Italy fully supports an acceleration of the process of granting Serbia the candidate status and hopes that the goal would be achieved by mid-2011, the latest,”

Great, just in time for elections. It's interesting how this type of news always surfaces when the EU is excecuting anti-Serbian campaigns in Kosovo. So who likes these carrots?
