Journalist know better than that, if you own a phone company , you need a license to operated and must pay taxes.
I assume these journalist are the left over from Milosevic's era.
Try to operate a phone company in USA without a proper license, and you will see what happens.
(Kosova-USA, 25 April 2010 11:46)

For goodness sake, read the article. These TV and radio broadcasters HAVE LICENCES. They are operating legally. If you do read the article properly will you then post another comment to withdraw your first inaccurate comment? Or are you so narrow minded and anti Serb that you would find that impossible to do? What the so called "authorities" are doing here makes a complete mockery of their alleged desire to have a multi ethnic and tolerant approach. The sooner the world at large are made aware of these kinds of actions the sooner they will understand the error of supporting the illegal UDI. Kosovo is being run by a group of law breaking thugs as far as I can see and I am ashamed of my government for not at least voicing its condemnation of the actions of the former (?) KLA members who masquerade as a "government". Please, lets have some balance and fairness applied to this situation and most of all lets apply international law as would be expected in any other country in the world.

"UNS and DNKiM are warning the domestic and foreign public that all of the destroyed equipment belongs to the radio and television stations that have licenses for broadcasting"

What are the K-albanians complaining about?
These companies have licenses to operate.

What the K-alanians are doing is illegal and amounts to nothing more than terrorism!

It is as black as you want to see. Actually you have no clue. Just because Kosovo lacks the white Schengen it does not mean it's a black hole. In order to get that we have to fulfill the conditions that everybody else did. The things are moving ahead regardless of your daltonic eye.

Since EULEX and the UN are Status Neutral, you’d need a license from either Pristina OR Belgrade to operate in Kosovo. They have a license from Belgrade, they’re legal.

This is one area we can reach agreement on that will make the everyday lives of the average Kosovo resident better, regardless of ethnicity.

Right on the spot: Neandertal is in Europe. --Ataman
How is neandertallic that Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) had warned these companies for years? This issue has been politicized by Belgrade. These companies were pressured by Belgrade itself to continue doing business as usual although TRA sent warning after warning that they would disable their towers. I find nothing barbaric aside from your biased opinion. I am a little disappointing you of all people try to show some common decency and common sense. : (

(RKS, 25 April 2010 21:49)

I have to apologize for "Neandertal" - it is unjust and biased against Nandertalians. They were more intelligent and gentle beings.

We can settle rather on "Donkey Hoxha" as being the proper name for these brave knights. Spaniards had Don Quixote, Quetzalcoatl, the snake-pigeon deity feeding on human organs in a yellow house has "Donkey Hoxha".

Do you see the "Suhareka" part of the sign painted over with black color?
Almost all signs on Kosovo roads are vandalized by "democratic innocent little kids": the Serbian part of the sign is painted over.

If anyone here can explain me what the word "suharekë" in Albanian means - I would appreciate it.
Because "Suhaya Reka" in Russian means "dry river". Why don't you have Albanian name for that place?

Would we require a license for that? Why? Would anybody be harmed by that? If not, why would we need a license? --Jan Andersen
--Jan, these companies operated for 11 years illegally. Here is what I mean, under the UN oppression these companies
were allowed to operate since Serbia had allowed these companies to operate (even though they didn't pay taxes to Serbia
nor Kosovo). The other reason why they are operating illegally is because they have not received a license in order
to operate in those frequency bands. All Kosovan business are required by law to pay a certain tax (VAT or otherwise).
In your example you would have been fine to start your little network as long as you did NOT charge your 'members' / 'customers' / etc.

You don't just cut someones telephoneconnection and power unless they are given time to do something about it. This is done suddenly and forcefully to impose fear and intimidation.

Journalist know better than that, if you own a phone company , you need a license to operated and must pay taxes.
I assume these journalist are the left over from Milosevic's era.
Try to operate a phone company in USA without a proper license, and you will see what happens.
