The 195th anniversary of the Second Serbian Uprising has been marked today with ceremonies at the monument to Prince Miloš Obrenović in Takovo, central Serbia.
I always thought the Takovo Uprising was more of a series of "wheelings and dealings" between Milos and the Porte. Though it was far less epic than the First Uprising, it did get the job done. I've always been more of a fan of Milos Obrenovic than Karadjordje.
