The ethnic Albanians who claim there are "war criminals" among Kosovo Serbs returnees who use the land of these Serbs; go and write down all the reasons of why you people do not want the Serb returnees in Kosovo. Then, allow the Serb returnees to write down all the reasons why they believe they have every right to return to their Kosovo homeland and regain their property. Then, everyone can go over all these reasons to try to work things out; to try to be fair. If the ethnic Albanians of Kosovo cannot get along with the Kosovo Serbs, what ethnic group can these Albanian Kosovars ever get along with? All nations; all societies have their share of ethnic problems. But if ethnically Albanian controlled Kosovo gives-up on trying to work out relations with the Serb Kosovars, then the USA and NATO will begin to realize that Kosovo cannot be intergrated into present, modern day Europe; speaking politically, culturally, and economically. How long do you think the USA & NATO would allow such a Kosovo to continue that way?

Peggy i think your comment about criminals within kosovo is a bit harsh. lets face the facts corruption and crime run rampant through out the Balkans. One of my closest friends is from Beograd, we have discussed the corruption and crime of both Kosovo and Serbia. Both countries have problems. However, it is time that both you and Lili realize the war is over. We need to move on but respect those who died in the past. Both sides lost people, and I will never say that Serbs did not experience any form of genocide like many people who are not educated state due to Western propaganda, but Serbs also repressed Albanian Kosovars to stop forms of nationalism through the period post Nazi-occupation until post-war. Therefore today we need to realize if people like it or not Kosovo will not be handed over to the Serbians. However addressing the topic of crime. Those Serbian Kosovars who choose to move back to Kosovo have every right to do so just as those who implemented persecution against riyah of the balkans during Ottoman rule were not forced to leave. The only step towards making the Balkans the future of Europe, is recognizing reality, facts, and history. Propaganda and misinterpretation has no space in my book.

I know how you don't want any more criminals in Kosovo. There is far too many already in there.
How do you know these people are criminals?
Were they arrested when they crossed the administrative line? You would think that the local authorities at least would know who they are and arrest them. Is this the way they deal with suspected criminals. They stone them and then let KPS deal with their bodies later?

Lili, law and order must prevail in a civilised society. Emphasis on the word "civilised". If there were any criminals amongst the returnees why haven't the authorities stopped them from returning or why haven't the authorities waited for them to arrest them?

You are just talking a whole lot of garbage. No proof of anything, just plenty of excuses to kick the Serbs out.

So Serbia has to recognize Kosovo or not be allowed to return its citizens. What's next? Perhaps Serbs who return will have to vote for Thaci or risk getting harassed or killed. Serbs will never accept a life in your "democratic" Kosovo. Intimidation and threats is not an option for Serbs. I think it also shows what kind of society you are crating. A society where people with different views are not allowed. How is that much different from the one society you despised, Milosevics?

Why those four ran to Serbia? Do they have a dark past, and ran as fast they can to escape justice? Are these four that casued all these? So many questions, but it will be hard to get the proper answer.

Maybe they ran because stones can cause fatalities, or maybe they left before there was a repeat of the 2004 progrom...either way, it was the violence of the albanians that forced them to flee as they had done over a decade ago.

A whole entire village can't be wrong. There is clearly a bad apple in this bunch, or as it seems, 4 bad apples.

I'm so glad UNHCR came out to make a statement, their co-workers are doing a great job in the north relaxing and chilling all day. Where was EULEX in all of this? Ohh that's right, smuggling contraband through the Macedonian - Kosovan Border.

I also blame the Kosovo Government. The Ministry of Justice is so weak, if this ministry did its job and arrested war criminals that are wanted there would be no need for the common person to take "matters on their own hands".

It's truly a tragedy. I blame the Serbs, Albanians, EULEX, non-MIK, and Govt of Kosovo.

I feel very bad for the poor people who have most probably done nothing to deserve this bastards. But, on the other side of the coin, it looks very good for Serbia in the soon to come ICJ verdict. Because there is no doubt in my mind that the judges also read what is happening in Kosovo.

Wow, Albanians steal Serbs' land, then when the original owners (Serbs) try to return, the Albanians call them war criminals, and continue to keep the stolen land. What is going on in this lawless place? Where are the authorities in these towns? Why aren't the internationals or Pristina stepping in to help these returning refugees? All sides spew some soundbites about helping displaced individuals return, but then doing absolutely nothing to help that happen. You can't just allow local Albanian villagers to make accusations and enforce them, they obviously stand to profit from taking someone else's property. Where is the law in Kosovo?

When police know that there is crime in a neighborhood, they step up patrols. It seems the Kosovo Police are about as useless in stopping crime as the little Dutch boy who tried to stop a leak in a dike with his finger. The only difference between the two is that the little boy tried.

How long do you think the USA & NATO would allow such a Kosovo to continue that way?
