RE: sj (15 April 2010 15:10) comments.

Firstly, the Great Schism is marked as 1054, the time of mutual excommunicated of Constantinople and Rome. Tvrtko did not rule as King until 1377. In this time there were three Churches in Bosnia - Catholic, Orthodox and the 'Bosnian Church'. So your point about there being only one Church and the Great Schism being for over 1500 are wrong. Also the Catholic Church fought against the Bosnian Church as it considered it herectic, this view was shared by the Orthodox Churches.

Furhter, your comments about Croat and Bosniak relationships and allainces during the war years shows that you have not studied the events in any great detail. It also shows a very anti-Croat sentiment that means your comments can not be taken seriously. The fact that you mention Pavelic in something that has no relation to him is evident of this.

I actually agree with what Toni is trying to say.

Serbia and Croatia have recently made apologies/ recognitions of past crimes committed against Bosniaks/ Muslims during the war years. However, it does not seem likely that the Bosniaks will in turn do the same for the crimes that were committed on their side, no matter how small or large they or other deem them to be. This is a shame.

Serbs have always been alone in Bosnia. It was the Croats that joined the Bosniaks from the beginning when the vote on breaking away from Yugoslavia took place. It was the Croats that decided it was time to break away from the Bosniaks during the war. It was the Croats that did a lot of harm to themselves, not the Serbs or Bosniaks.
In fact the Ustashi leader Ante Pavelic called the Bosniaks Croatian flowers.
The Croats ethnically cleansed Serbs from Croatia and now you expect Serbs to shield your people – why?
If you feel unhappy about Josipovic’s apology to the Bosniaks then what will happen soon will make you even unhappier, but I won’t elaborate further on that topic.

When King Trvtko was alive there was only one Church and many things were different. For the last 1500 years since the Great Schism the Catholic Church has been trying to regain those territoires with many unpleasant results. However, the signs are all pointing to a big improvement in Church relations and let’s hope it goes further.

It was long ago foretold that two great rival armies will meet together on the river Bosna and great each others as fellow Christian brothers, not foes. This was told many years ago in a hope that the Serb and Croat peoples would rise up together against the Ottoman occupiers and share a land in which they were united under intitially by King Trvtko who was himself of Croat and Serb stock in a time where the difference of ethnicity did not matter.

Bosniaks will now ask for additional apologies in further villages and compensation. Will Josipovic follow through? This guy must have something up his sleeve or he truly is trying to build stability? He doesn't lead like a traditional Croatian leader!

I am sure the Bosniaks will find some way to turn this story into a bad one.

Toni... I do understand where you are coming from and Bosniaks would be the last to ever apologize for anything.

Toni...why the long face?

You mean your fake alliance with Islam is not paying off as you and Croatia had hoped? To finally hear that Croats were beheaded along with Serbs by Muslims fanatics is a step in the right direction. Perhaps you could take the next step by saying with conviction that the Federation is a Joke and that Serbs also suffered at the hands of Muslims and Croats. Then the scales will be balanced and true reconciliation can occur.

Nothing wrong with admitting mistakes, for it takes a bigger person and nation to accept that apology. One step at a time, perhaps later we can walk in step side by side? That would be a nice change.

Don't mess with Texas!

Simply amazing???? And how many Croats were killed by Islamists. Will they apologize as well. I really doubt it. How many Croats were beheaded? The Croats in Bosnia deserve Croatia's full protection. What a gutless move by the Croatian president. Anyhow, this will mark the end of croats in Bosnia. Either they will join with Serbs there or leave in masses into croatia or overseas. There you go Serbia the Croats are ethically cleasning themselves. It's between you and the Muslims now. Enjoy!!
