I couldn't agree with you more. Tusk was thrown a carrot and it turned out to be rotten. What he gained from recognizing Kosovo, I don't know, and even if the USA did drop VISA restrictions for Poles, I fail to see how this is justification enough to recognize it in the first place. He gained nothing except a pat on his back, and this is not justification either, just to be in with the EU crowd. Bush did not even mention Poland as one of the main factions in the Iraq campaign, even though we were the third largest faction after USA and UK.

I think the USA has greatly insulted us and that we shuld have removed our entire military faction from there immediately.

Joe

Typical Polish paranoia. Granted, Poland should be allowed access to those black boxes as our leading statesman and entire military elite was killed in one shot as a mark of respect, but I cannot imagine why Russia would want to kill the President and military elite of Poland.

This sort of thing is done when 1) Russia is planning to invade Russia militarily or 2) to eliminate Polish resistance to Russian rule.

Option one is simply not going to happen (why would Putin attend the Katyn memorial, sign a new long-term gas deal with Poland and generally improve relations with us if they were planning to attack us) and option two is not in existance. This isn't the 40's anymore.

Makes a lot of sense because the one, who stood up against them is not alive anymore.
There was an interesting article with picture in a New York paper of yesterday. They showed Poles in national castumes - few hundreds of them directly from Warsaw - around St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Greenpoint Brooklyn. They expressed their opition about the tragedy. "I don't trust Putin", "I don't trust the Russians" was the re-occurring opition, shared even by people visiting from Warsaw.

If they got that visa free travel they would flood us and eat our excellent food.
And what is that text with Donald Duck man?Not clear please explain. You in Europe overcomplicate everything.

Nothing complicated and I would not worry. Even the most narrow-minded американский ёжик (pron. "józsik") will learn how to eat with chopsticks earlier or later.

Unfortunately Donald Tusk earned "Donald Duck Tusk" nickname by totally submitting himself to American pressure regarding Kosovo recognition.

Only you the albanians are suspicious of the russians. How come no other country has raised this question of the russians being behind the crass? Why would they want to rid Polen of these people? Just like everything else albanians make claims without any proof or a motive.

I still don't believe there is any conspiracy behind this. Our relations with Russia have been improving recently and Russia has behaved very well towards us after Kaczynski's death.

I suppose one very good and important thing has come out of this crash: our relations with Russia are warming.

This is a good thing. I believe that good relations with both Germany and Russia are critical to us (this, for example, is one element of Tusk's ideology which I agree very much with).

The truth! If you trust the Americans then I feel sorry for you, really sorry. Why don't you read some of the lies your masters are capable of:

"The Wall Street Journal has run a small story saying it appears that the number of civilian deaths during the war in Kosovo is no more than 2,500. The Journal has thus confirmed what we were reporting at the time—that big lies were being told in order to justify U.S. involvement in this conflict"

Besides tons of other arguments, let's turn to simple logic:
Since the plane was a Tupolev, the black boxes a russian too, no?!

Read today something like com between the pilot and the tower was like 50/50 comprehensible since the airport controller did not speak english and the pilot had a poor russian.
What I don't get is, WHY did they even let them aproach and try to land a couple of times, WHY not just say AIRPORT IS CLOSED, GOOD BYE and break com?!
