As a resident of Kosova, I thank you all for the concerns about my "failed state". I must say that I still live a much better life than during the years of "Great Serbia". I’ll take this “failed state” over “Great Serbia” in a heartbeat. Now back to the subject…

The problem here is that the customs duties are not being paid in some border crossing areas, thus, allowing the smuggled goods to be sold in the local markets. This is all about the fundamental principles of economics – goods that enter a country without paying the protective tariffs (intended to artificially inflate prices of imports and protect domestic industries from foreign competition) are hurting (not protecting) the local farmers.
(Trim, 13 April 2010 04:22)

Trim - all problems of Kosovo is, becouse it is not REAL state, but failed separatist and NATIONALISTIC experiment.

As part of Republic of Serbia - REAL state, Kosovo can have chance to join EU and can be part of regional trade organisations. So - can have better perspectives for their economics (incl. agriculture). And rule and law in REAL state is much better than in failed state - corruption is smaller, taxes are paying, budget is bigger etc., etc...

So - be proud for this failed experiment, and be proud for living in more and more "black hole"...

Yes, the doctors and the police had their protests. The farmers are protesting as well. Who knows, next time it may be the gay rights movements - but now, they are exercising a right they did not have during the years of "Great Serbia". This time, they are not being beaten, teargased, or even killed for expressing their dissatisfaction or demanding a right.

I don’t think it is the products from Serbia that are the problem here.

Therefore, farmers, who most likely did not take Economics 101 may not be aware with the concept of “protective tariff”, therefore, are demanding a ban.

State budget; what state budget? It’s all EU money handed out to Thaci and others. Here is some advice for you boys, go and lodge an application with the EU and sit and wait.

Would our albanian citizens in the south of Serbia stop EPS providing electricity to Kosovo also? Or would you fool yourself and buying the electricity from FYROM instead? Because we all know where FYROM gets its electricity from... EPS! (and to a smaller content Bulgaria)

Bottom line, Kosovo is a consumer because it does not produce much of anything. A boycott sounds good to the masses but rich businessmen on both sides of the boundary only see green - regardless of politics they like money more than anything else.

Pejoni,

Do you enjoy your plazma in warm milk or cold? I have found them to be even more delicious when I heat the milk first. I really like the chocolate plazma but I find that it won't melt regardless of how hot the milk is. Any advice?

I didn't even know that there were farmers in Kosovo. I've seen small family plots but no major scale farms around here. It is a shame because in order to progress, you have to have a way of feeding your people. I may have missed something here but if they don't like the Serbia fertilizer, they aren't buying it correct? And if the farmers aren't buying it, the fertilizer would stop coming, correct? And who did the analysis on the fertilizer? I didn't see what scientific organization did the analysis. As far as Serbian products being expired, does that mean the Albanians don't know how to tell when something is outdated and keep buying it even when they find out that it is outdated? Please help me if I missed something here.

First it was police, then court employees, then teachers, then KLA terrorist-veterans, and now farmers. All are unsatisfied with the failing state of "Kosova."

Just wait until the international handouts end - this place will implode and make sub-Saharan Africa look like Eden.

"Union Director Tahir Tahiri said that products coming from Serbia have an effect of creating non-loyal competition with products in Kosovo."

Non-loyal competition, aha. Something that must be prohibited! Hard to imagine that even agriculture in Kosovo is not competitive, a field which is really no rocket-science, with salaries being lowest in whole Europe and the advantages of local production.

Listen Mustafa, Kosovo belongs to Serbia.
Now this immigrant claims that Serbia is sending, get this “poisonous materials that are very bad for your health”. Now is it poisonous or is it “creating non-loyal competition with products in Kosovo” – whatever that means. We have the scenario where Serbs are importing poison so that they can poison themselves and the Albanians and in the meantime creating disloyalty.

“Half of the imports to Kosovo from Serbia are coming over the 1 and 31 border crossings, which were burned down two years ago and are not controlled today”.
Now a question for the Albos and PRN in particular; what happened to your EULEX, KFOR, NATO, KPF establishing border crossing controls and bringing “Northern criminals under control” in an independent Kosova????????? This guy has blown your BS in a single swoop.

“The farmers are also called for 10 percent of the state budget to be set aside for agriculture........ for subsidies for the production of milk.”

Therefore, farmers, who most likely did not take Economics 101 may not be aware with the concept of “protective tariff”, therefore, are demanding a ban.

As a resident of Kosova, I thank you all for the concerns about my "failed state". I must say that I still live a much better life than during the years of "Great Serbia". I’ll take this “failed state” over “Great Serbia” in a heartbeat. Now back to the subject…

State budget; what state budget? It’s all EU money handed out to Thaci and others. Here is some advice for you boys, go and lodge an application with the EU and sit and wait.

I Agree - without EU money, this pseudostate CAN'T EXIST.

Kosovo, sorry to say; but the goods in Serbia and North Kosovo have much more quality than the Kosovo goods.

This is also an important reason, why the Serbs don´t want be member of an Kosovo state.

Just to public a fairy-tale it becomes not mure true.

It's natural. Nobody normal thinking man want to be citizen of poor, failed pseudostate, if he is citizen much strongest, internationally recognized state with EU perspective.
