Except that those people HAD NO RIGHT to elect anyone outside Serbian approved candidates.
He has no rights to go in and spoil anyone's Easter.
Those people wanted to have a nice time for a change and there he is, someone they despise barging in. Did he ask for permission? I bet not.
(Peggy, 6 April 2010 01:21)

Even resolution 1244 alows him to be a President of Kosovo.

Happy Easter!

res 1244 allows him to be what he is. an president-actor.

there´s a difference between a real president and someone who´s only acting as one.

actually, I see him as a clown, since he wasn´t capable of speaking english when he was a side-guest at the UNSC-hearings in regard of southern Serbia.

a "president" who doesn´t even speak english...

that´s certainly something to be proud of, when even every second-class pseudo-musician like in "X-factor" understands english!

easter is time for peace. on occasion humanity overrides politics. i do feel fatmir came out of respect to this family's religious tradition. i'm sure no one will change their opinion of kosovo's future because of this visit. it was a nice gesture on fatmir's part no problem with that !

And now, let’s wait to see when Boris Tadic or any other Serbian president will attend a Muslim ceremony in the Sandzak or the Presevo Valley…

Thanks, same for you and "Krishti u ngjall!" + "Христос воскрес!" (in modern Russian it's "воскрес" not "воскресе") for the rest of the gang.

We wanted to see Ohrid or maybe venture to AL, but at first there was a strike in the backseat ("we want to have more fun") and later the flu came out.
I should probably do some installations to keep them silent and not trust "Adria Route 3.0" GPS blindly - it makes sometimes things it should not.

An other funny part: I was busy with other things, so I forgot to remove the Russian plate frame in North Mitrovica (as usual as I do). So we went gloriously with Russian frame into parts of Kosovo where we shouldn't and had few amusing moments: some Albanian merchants refused to take my money for the coffee/tea and we landed up with two free chocolates and three free bottles of Rahoveci Valley "Stone Castle" 2006 Verë e Kuqe.

The merchant south of "MitrovicË" was straight funny:

"one chocolate to you for American plate, one chocolate for Russian frame"

(But at the same time he explained to me, every politician is a "catastrphy". Since that is my view, too - I did not object)

Why was this allowed? Why was he allowed to to do this to a family and indeed to any Serbs there.
Who was he not booed and why would anyone accompany him around?

Disgraceful.

I wish that guy a speedy recovery and to everyone Happy Easter. Please forward the well know poem which is told in Hungary to women and girls on eastern monday before pouring water on them. Darn, we narrowly missed him.... being in Decani. Probably he did not missed us - our Jr. got a stomach flu from his classmate, it was dormant till today - but at the end our car seats were properly "decorated".

Happy Easter to all, except us, we are back to BP and busy with the said problem. Otherwise it was fine - except the last hour.

This is what is called "car having baby smell". Pictures and detailed description about EULEX in North and South follow later.

No I don’t think so. It’s better this way for Albanians in Kosovo – no jobs, no prospects, no future and the only way out is to buy Serbian passports to get out.
“free movement of goods and people” What you want here is for Albanians to travel to Serbia proper to find work, but that is not going to happen. All European countries want Albanians out and sent back to Kosovo; just ask your German friends – you guys have outstayed your welcome through criminal activities.

(Staff, 4 April 2010 22:51)

"It will be a huge task to change back all the streetnames to Serbian ones”.

This is no huge task because Kosovo is not that big anyway, but it will give the local some work. What is most important is when the official birth deaths and marriages register is returned to Pristina under Serbian rule then watch the Albanians runs for their lives over to Albania because most of these people came from over the border illegally.

Reminds us of those nazi propaganda films showing the "humane" conditions in the concentration camps. So this poor family was terrorized during their Easter holiday to host the sultan. Nothing coerced is legitimate.

“Easter is a holiday of good messages for all people, messages of peace, cooperation, and humanism,” he said after visiting with the Maksimović family in Gračanica.---Fatmir Sejdiu

He is right that Easter is a holiday filled with A good message for all people, but not for the generic, political reason he is trying to put forth. Jesus did come and die for all people, even those who do not accept him like the Muslim Albanians. Messages of humanism? Give me a break...what a joke! This is a holiday in which we celebrate Christ's resurrection, it is not a time for a two-bit illegal politician to capitalize on the highest Christian holiday. Let's not lose sight of that fact. How can a man who fronts a people who have almost succeeded in fully ethnically cleansing an ancient Christian Serbian territory claim Easter as a holiday with messages of cooperation, peace, and humanism? This is total trash.

Never happen, EA. The Serbian government will never recognize an independent Albanian Kosovo - even if they wanted to, the Serbian people would not allow them. So please stop with day-dream suggestions. The only way forward, and lasting peace, is to sit at the negotiating table, and find a MUTUAL agreement on the Kosovo i Metohija status issue. Happy Easter to all who celebrate. And a horrible day, to all the ones with hatred in their hearts.

This guy is a bad joke, and his quazi-independence. I mean, one can see the lies so clearly. If he had any will to help minorities he would have "returned" autonomy to the gorani bosniaks in the south. Heck, he would have created a municipality for the Serbs in the Osojane area of Klina. It could have several villages that are in Istok and Klina. But no. The policy is to make municipalities in places where there are too many serbs to cleanse - in other words in places like Ranilug and Gracanica... and to cleanse the Serbs where there are fewer numbers. Serbs used to the majorities in Gnjilane, in Vitina, in Lipljan... But nobody cares? Hm?

The only way forward to an everlasting peace between Serbs and Albanians would be Serbia to recognise Kosovo/a independence, enter into friendship agreements with Kosovo/a institutions, free movement of goods and people and both Kosovo/a and Serbia in EU. It is as simple as that. But all this needs guts from the Serbian leadership.
