Whats about new ideas to brake this stillstanding situation?

Think about a two chambers municipality, a senior president as mediator, Joint projects f.e. schools, adjustment boards...... and so on.

Create a local community for faith of the people and kick the hardliners in Pristina and Belgarde.

Please explain your logic. If Kosova is a serbian province, how could it be governed by Albanians and be considered independent and democratic by most of Europe and the only Super Power on earth, the USA. By your line of reasoning, something just doesn't add up!

Easily explained. It has nothing to do with justice or legalities, but all to do with might is right attitude.

Let’s look at “Kosova’s independence”. It is not governed by Albanians nor is it democratic; in fact it’s run by various groups i.e UN/EU/US, and the so called government does not scratch itself without approval.
Most of the countries that recognize Kosovo “as independent” don’t even have embassies there so that’s a sham in itself. The “only Super Power on earth, the USA” is more of a joke than anything else.
The western media portrays the US as strong and ready to do battle but in fact it’s turning into nothing very quickly. In 2001 it was a superpower, today it has to be propped up by its western toadies.
The US of A is BROKE!!!!! Latest economic indicators are all showing a continuing downward spiral on all fronts housing, employment, finance, you name it.
If Kosovo is that independent then how many factories have opened up since 1999??? Mmmmm??? NONE!!!
Or do the independent “Kosovars” just rely on bought Serbian passports to travel freely?

-- It seems to me that the fact that Serbia is *still* holding elections in Kosovo-UNMIK two years after it declared "independence" and the most the international community can do is ignore them is testament enough to Belgrade's resolve to maintain its presence where it's wanted by the people.

Naturally.
I am enjoying the fact that things are moving so fast and that Criminals and thugs in the North of Kosovo, regarless nationality have days numbered.

The anarchy in the north will soon be history, and the Kosovo institutions will help this part become democratic, and peacful just as the rest.

B92, why the need to censor my post when all I stated was that one should not work while under the influence? And that concerns even Peiter Feith

EULEX is not supposed to recognise anything concerning K. Mitrovica or entire Northern Kosovo. Should I mention Pristina, hahaha?
It is enough that Belgrade recognizes and that is all it counts.

Oh, and by the way, speaking about democracy and wonderful multiethnic living, just reading here on B92: "KFOR condemns desecration of tombs". Now KFOR's the only legal structure in Kosovo based on a UN resolution and also accepted by the Serbian Government.

Happy Easter!

Hahaha, so I guess the moral of the story is:

Don't organize democratic elections on your own unless they are recognized by the overarching power. *Our* democratic elections that we *tell* you to vote in, are more democratic than *your* elections the voice of your people choose.

"The anarchy in the north will soon be history, and the Kosovo institutions will help this part become democratic, and peacful just as the rest." (PRN)

-- Hahahaha Buddy, I've seen "the rest" and believe me, I'm not impressed. I'm almost thankful EULEX is so disinterested in forcing the north to live under your tyranny.

Thanks for the laugh, as always, but put down the joint. It's too early in the day to be lighting up.

PRN, put down the glass, and so early in the morning, too. The ICO has no binding jurisdiction in the north, or anywhere for that matter. It (ICO) has no authority from the EU, just states that have recognized the illegal UDI of the Albanians. The only way Feith's dirty little plan, and his Albanian paymasters, could be implemented in northern KiM, is through forceful occupation. I don't think any side has the stomach for that. BTW, why doesn't Pristina concentrate on improving the lives of it's citizens in the rest of Kosovo, their living and economic conditions are horrible. The north is doing just fine taking care if itself. No thank you, Feith and Pristina. You don't recognize Serb elections in the north, and the Serbs don't recognize you. Simple.

The ICO, or whatever it calls itself, is barking up the wrong tree. Serbs there do not want to be part of any Albanian state. Why does this fool insist on forcing Serbs to be under Albanian control? I guess you have not heard that EULEX has already scrapped its plan for the north for the time being... they want us to wait because they realize that we cannot force something upon an unwilling population. So much for your speedy, undemocratic takeover...

"The anarchy in the north will soon be history, and the Kosovo institutions will help this part become democratic, and peacful just as the rest."

I was not aware that democracy is equal to anarchy. You guys kill me with your pathetic attempts to classify the north as the Wild West when there is far less crime there than in the rest of Kosovo. Yes, there are some criminal elements there that certianly need to be locked up, but the vast majority of the Serbian citizens do not deal with street-level robberies, stabbings, shootings, and burlgaries like the people in Pristina, Pec, and Gnjilane do. This is a fact, my friend.

Dear Mr Feith,

If the turnout is 0,6% (Kosovo government election in N-Mitro) you call the elections valid and successfull but if the turnout is 60% (Serbian election in N-Mitro) you say these are illegal structures?

How dare you even talk about democracy? this is a shame! trying to impose your will on people is NOT democracy. As a European and a democrat I think this is simply disgusting and it should not happen.

Your organization has lost all its credit. Just go home Mr. Feith you already did enough damage and earnt enough money

"...just like the rest".

I have a friend, officer in Romanian Army, who was in KFOR in 2008. If the stories he told me about Kosovo (including the Northern area of the province) are true, then all the place, regardless who are the inhabitants, is just a big mess. So, I don't know how the problem should be solved (if ever), but I doubt that having Pristina rule over there could bring anything better.
Anyway, my friend told me that (quote) "Albanians will never be able to control Northern Kosovo, as Serbs will never be able to control Pristina". So, maybe each side should just stick to what they've got...
