If 400G Montenegrian are a nation, how in the world you can deny 2 mil K-Albanians calling a nation??? Whre is the logic in your coment?
(Kosova-USA, 31 March 2010 07:56)

Good point. Indeed... why 35 million Kurds do not have a state. And 300.000 Icelanders have. Why San Marino (just a city) is an independent nation. And why South Ossetia is not...

I know. So let's not open that Box of Pandora! Keep it closed. Live your live in the state you live in. This appies to Serbs in Bosnia. But also to Albanians in Serbia.

Peace to all!

The honest admission that the US/EU have done little to nothing on infrastructure in Kosovo and that it has enormous economic problems is appreciated. However, I am interested to know why the EU will “do something” once Kosovo becomes “a member”, but is unwilling to act now? Considering we still live in an age of “Reaganistic capitalism”, why do you think for one moment that the EU will change anything in Kosovo?
Little by little the EU is beginning to realize that Kosovo was and will always be a financial sinkhole. The old Yugoslavia poured billions into that region with little affect.
In fact the last time I was in Kosovo was just before the war in the Balkans and Belgrade opened a new biscuit factory in Pristina which employed about 3000 Albanians – it cost about $100 million. I am told that site is now rusting away. This will never be repeated.
Can we leave the freedom from oppression BS to one side. Most thinking Europeans know exactly what occurred in Kosovo in 1999 and the reasons. Only beer hall simpletons run around repeating phrases used by politicians and paraphrased by the media.

Time has stopped in Kosovo. Tell us how many jobs have the EU/US created in Kosovo since 1999 that even comes close to pre war days? Tell us why Albanians are pay 3000 Euros for a Serbian passport to escape that “paradise” called Kosovo.
Every day I see the wonderfulness of western military equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan. So far the US alone has lost 25 soldiers this month and April could double or triple that figure because of the planned autumn offensive against the Taliban.
VS has more than enough military hardware to look after you Albanian interlopers in Kosovo, but why waste money. Let the US take its normal course of action and just go broke.
Here is some news. The US is in the process of issuing another series of bonds, but countries and institutions are not showing any interest. Alan Greenspan was quoted as saying that “this might be the canary in the mine” or a warning that no one wants to buy anymore debt from the US. For those that don’t understand, this is a critical situation for the US because “it’s time to face your demons” and cut, cut and cut you’re spending, otherwise bankruptcy.
For those that think if the US collapses the world will go done as well, think again because measures have been taken to ensure that the US is isolated with minimum fallout to the rest of the world. The international banking system has not been idle all this time. There was no way they were going to be caught like the EU with Greece.

But let me say this: the man in the street really does not want new states. And for sure does not want new states in EU and NATO.
Can't you see that the average man or woman in Western Europe is sick of sending money to countries that cannot live together.

I support full integration of all six former YU nations in the EU!
(Ron, 30 March 2010 20:06)
I do believe especially in this time that people are sick of their money going to others. I also know it would be far more expensive to try to reintegrate Kosovo into Serbia than to allow it to be independent. Serbia does not have the money nor the desire to fix the infrastructure nor the economic problems of Kosovo.
As far as average citizens go I doubt that those who are neither linked in someway to the Serbian or the Albanian culture (or through the mission there) really care whether Kosovo enters the EU as Kosovo or as part of Serbia.
But if you ask I am sure the majority of people in western Europe would say that people have a right to live without oppression.

"KFOR nearing end of mandate"

This is the best news for Kosovo in years. Kosovo army cannot wait much longer to be deployed along the Kosovo borders. More are waiting to be recruted.

GREAT GREAT NEWS

Hey "man"!!! You are funnier and funnier!!!
The fact that NATO Army is at the end of its mandate means that the k-albs are finished and kosovo is ready to be back to Serbia.
Just think about these two things: 1. at the moment the kosovars who earn the more are the one who work for KFOR, EULEX etc. so if NATO goes home, the people who work for it will remain without any money to spend. So all the money that NATO give to kosova are going to vanish... FUNNY eh???
All the kosovo economy will be crushed and it will be allways funnier...
You talk to deploy the KSF, but without money I think that KSF will vanish too.
Even if Serbs think that KFOR patrols are unusefull they must think about the fact that if North Mitrovica is still existing as a Serbian enclave it is just because of the presence of the NATO soldiers... If not the k-alb terrorists would have killed anyone living in the north of the Ibar.
So try to be a little bit less hard with NATO (even if I have to say that the NATO attacks of 1999 are not so regular as the International Community wants us to think).
Dear Serbian friends, don't think that every European is against you: sometimes what the Government choose to do is not the same than their people would like...

Ciao from Italy!!!

Hey, I am all for diplomacy and negotiations but are ethnic Albanians? Seems not! Their frustration will continue to grow as they realise they were sold a prison and not independence. In that case the security in the province will continue to deteriorate.

(Kosova-USA, 30 March 2010, 10:33)

Actually, most of the world does not even know where Kosovo is, so I highly doubt they know about the small criminal element in the north.

The clowns in charge of this experiment in Kosovo are pathetically trying to divert the failures across Kosovo on the 15% of the north. This is a classic diversion - find a scapegoat for your own collective failures.

The average Albanian in Kosovo has nothing to do with the north, and the north has nothing to do with the average Albanian. Try and fix the unemployment, corruption, and lack of basic services instead of trying to ruin the remaining 15% of Kosovo with proper running institutions.

Well, not for Russia, China and Serbia as we have already ensured independence is irreversibly blocked while the north is firmly under Serbian control. Our ethnic Albanian citizens can live in their pretend independent world (a.k.a Prison Camp Kosova) or decide to negotiate a peaceful future for all. However, it seems their brothers living comfortably in the West prefer they remain as prisoners while the prisoners themselves try to escape.

Greetings from Holland, a real state!

A real state that supports an Independent Kosovo!

Well, unfortunately my government deceided to support this illegal independence.

But let me say this: the man in the street really does not want new states. And for sure does not want new states in EU and NATO.
Can't you see that the average man or woman in Western Europe is sick of sending money to countries that cannot live together.

I support full integration of all six former YU nations in the EU!

Yep, they support prison camp Kosova to keep ethnic Albanians secure in their "independent state". ;)

“Kosovo army cannot wait much longer to be deployed along the Kosovo borders. More are waiting to be recruted.”

The Albanians have no money so who is going to pay for this Kosovo army?
