It is simple, there is no "moral high ground" and all that nonsense. There is only winners and losers. The west supports Bosnia more than it does to Serbia.

Serbian Propaganda has damaged and brainwashed you Dean. Srebrenica DID happen, I am happy that Tadic and co are accepting it and as a whole, trying to apologize to move on.

I never thought that for a moment, but just wanted to show you that despite our personal belief in honour and morals, our governments rarely reach those standards.
Many thanks for your comments.

SJ,

You shouldnt read into my comment that I believe all decisions made in the west are truthful and transparent. You've highlighted an excellent case in my country.

I've married into a Serbian family - I only want to see peace for all Serbs.

"...Serbia now gives itself the moral upper ground by taking responsibility for its actions, and sets the tone for others to accept their responsibility. If they don't, then the world begins to see more truth.

(Colin, 28 March 2010 06:12) ..."

>>> Whauu, you broke my heart.
For example in taking responsibility by Croats to admit the genocide in Jasenovac and the number of slaughtered humans there?
In Croatian present set of minds number of killed there dropped "sharply" from 700 000 to 20 to 25 000.
Does your World care less for that?
Answer is no.

So pick up your "logic" and recycle it.

The Tadic government are western lackeys that is trying very hard to appease its pay masters.
Firstly, I have no problems in holding an independent investigation into Srebrenica and would be the first to accept those findings. Not one of the Bosniaks contributors to this forum stood up and said “Yes let’s have an inquiry to satisfy all”.
Colin, you’re dealing with powers and countries and there is no moral high ground but winners and losers. If there was a moral high ground then why is the US still in Iraq or Afghanistan? Or for that matter why do they have the Guantanamo Bay facility still open?
Are you aware that your government in 1975 meekly agreed to a US request and allowed Indonesia to take over East Timor then in 1999 under the Howard Government assisted in its independence?
It was done because your government could redraw the borders with East Timor and Australia and take more of the gas and oil in the Timor Sea. Now that’s real moral high ground.

Dean / SJ,

I cannot understand why you have such a hatred for the work that Tadic and this government are doing. Serbia is showing leadership in the region by being the first to stand up and condemn something bad. Your whining that others should do it first is a circular argument where everybody gets to continuously blame each other and nothing happens.

Serbia now gives itself the moral upper ground by taking responsibility for its actions, and sets the tone for others to accept their responsibility. If they don't, then the world begins to see more truth.

Couldn’t agree more, but the resolution is not worth the paper it’s written when you don’t have bipartisan support or the support of RS. This is only Tadic and team looking for more medals and cheques from the west.
The wording will be so broad that the Bosniaks will not be satisfied but the west will tick it off as “accomplished” and then move on to other matters such as how to get out of Afghanistan.

Tadić and his team...they may manage to vote it in, but when opposition comes on power, hopefully with the next election, first action must be to vote out this undemocratically imposed and forced, so called "resolution".
Was there any elaborated parliamentary debate or something like that which would validate this move? Does DS know anything about parliamentary procedures? Forcing something what is such a fundamental on such autocratic way surely won't work.
So, in order to avoid unnecessary embarrassment DS should better decide to pull it out from the procedure.
This "episode" will not end up with DS orchestrated approval.
Be sure of that...or better said: this "resolution" is absolute NO go.
