I am very glad that "Hekuran" is so willingly displaying his shameful attitude towards the poeple on whoswe land he is living, whose churches and cemeteries were vandalized by his fellow-nationals.

thank you Hekuran, for letting us look into your soul!

...I am also glad to tell you that we " ( Serbs ) " will be back.

it´s Serbia, you are talking about, you know!?

...I am sure if you don´t , you will learn it.

just to inform you, dear lili...

there is no such thing like an european passport.

It's Albanians (and Gypsies) that are telling other Albanians "omg, don't go and do it yourself, you'll get beaten, give me 3000euro and I'll do it for you"

hahaha, soooo true. But a shame really.

This is basically a story of Albanians scamming Albanians.

It's a bit tricky if you haven't renewed your Serbian ID in over a decade, but otherwise, all you need to do, if you're a Kosovo Albanian is go to your nearest Policiska Uprava (which will be somewhere in Central Serbia) and apply for a passport and you will get one.

It's Albanians (and Gypsies) that are telling other Albanians "omg, don't go and do it yourself, you'll get beaten, give me 3000euro and I'll do it for you"

From the article: "Kosovo police are ready to combat the negative phenomena, in this case that some companies were unlawfully providing documents and visas."

Why? If the other part of the article is correct (that some agency is offering citizenship and passports from British Guyana or Namibia) then what is the problem? It would be a problem if they offered FALSIFIED passports, but there is no mentioning of that.

And again, from the article: "Former Kosovo Deputy Justice Minister Sul Hodza said that all citizens who were getting passports outside Kosovo, regardless in which country, should be criminally prosecuted "because it was forbidden by the constitution and law".

Why? Are people in Kosovo slaves of the states? Are they not allowed to say "Goodbye Kosovo passport, goodbye Kosovo citizenship" and apply for passport/citizenship in some other country? Sounds like something from the old USSR to me.

lili, ...just a question:

who is selling his pride or "sovereignty" here? =)

who earns money with people´s stupidity, when some are paying 3000 euro ( or was it dollars? =) )

to get something that they would get for free if they went to the next serb official building?

you know, if you can prove that you lived in Serbia before 1999, you have a right to get serbian documents.

in the end,you are a citizen of Serbia.

but if you so desperately wish to "prove" something ( what I consider to be very childish ) then you are free to pay 3000 ...

it´s your decision what you do with your money... IF it is your money, of course....

finally I ask you again, lili...

who is "selling his pride and ´sovereignty` here?" =)

think it over, before you write again... =)

"Your eyes will be hurt when you see everywhere a red and black flag!" (Hekuran)

-- What's funny about this statement is that it didn't mention blue and gold. The flag they're supposed to fly but don't want to. Actually depending on the municipality, you'll see either red, blue, and white, or the red and back. Good luck to anyone ever finding a blue and gold by itself.

Good luck also trying to find the red and black in northern Kosovo.

I think my eyes hurt more in Pristina seeing Hotel Victoria than the overabundant amount of red and black.

My eyes will be hurt, you have that right, but I am sure your heart hurts more knowing that your "independance" has gone nowhere, and that indeed Kosovo is still apart of Serbia. I have nothing against seeing Albanian flags, b/c really what does that mean? So when Mr. Bush came to visit, and you all bowed to him, and hailed him by flooding the streets with american flags, was Kosovo currently at the time America?

You love the idea of being a "minority" when in reality you are not. You adore the idea that Serbs "hate" you when in reality this is not the case. You continue to bow infront of the internationals who in the true sense of the word, VIOLATED you, and continue to do so on a daily basis. You Serbo-albanians needs to SEE and FEEL who the realy "enemy" is. No on has put you in this situation but yourselves. You got your so-called "independance" but now you don't know what to do this mentality and beleif. The first chance you get, you run back to Serbia, or elsewhere with Serbian papers, so really what have you won/gained or even accomplished. Good day :)

So long for serbian sovereignity and pride! You sell it for 3000 euro
(lili, 27 March 2010 12:43)

The 3000 Euro "fee" is not charged by Serbia. This is charged by Albanians in downtown Pristina who "arrange" the deal. In some cases they prepare fake documents. Serbs do not sell anything - they provide the passport for a nominal fee according the law. Albanian criminals in Pristina break either the law by forging documents or acting dishonestly because they should not charge unreasonable fee to the people who are eligible.

-----

and we can offord to pay that just to prove you that we can buy all we want.
(lili, 27 March 2010 12:43)

As we see in this case: ignorant people can't buy all they want. They can't buy smartness. There is a math special middle school in the downtown of Belgrade, close to Russian cultural center. A truly smart move would be to send the kids there and wait till they get a better education. Because the middle schools in Pristina are not up to that standard. After the school and after getting good IT job there is no more any visa headache in any country. It worked out for us. At certain point of my life I had a passport worse than the one of Kosovo - but I got a visa into USA like 1-2-3.

It´s time to think about what´s going wrong in Kosovo:

There is not enough progress towards the rule of law, human- /minorty- /investor rights, fighting crime and corrupution. There is no willingness to review the past, you are not able to deal with citisism, you procted/vote for war criminals, you are not listen to the inernational instiutions. No, you even damage their cars.

Kosovo! At this time at this level you are not welcome in the rest of the world.

But never than less, the international community provides you with all necessary basic skills. But you have to adopt it!!!

(Janez-Beograd, 26 March 20

So, because I love Kosovo just as much as the next Serb I am supposed to jump up and down and celebrate my neighbor's difficult times and hardships on his journey through life? Journeys that most of us undertake and leave behind our loved ones in search for a better and more prosperous and bountiful life for ourselves and our children? I am trying to stay aware here and not turn this into a corny tear-jerker of a blog for someone--but it's difficult to avoid when one walked in the shoes of the Balkan poor. I am a peasant boy who left Balkan in my 11th year, but I remember everything that a poor peasant never forgets: The hardships, the have- nots, fears, bad tempers, the screams and wailings of loss of a loved one, the prolonged deaths and agony of loved ones passing from cancers--often without morphine. The slaves of their own "sacrifices", fears, and illusions that breed nothing but contempt and create unnecessary pain and suffering. When is it going to end?

When we learn to stop hurting ourselves! And the only way to stop hurting ourselves is to stop hurting others. And the only way to love ourselves is to love all living things in God's Creation. And when we stop believing in specialness--which makes loving IMPOSSIBLE.

Our Albanian brothers did not come here with a premeditated plan to "steal" Kosovo--they happened here--like everybody else happened where they are, like you, where you are. Like it or not, Universe put us all where we are--WE had NOTHING to do with it. Period.

The past is gone. Let the lawyers "figure out" if there were any laws broken on either side, and then let the politicians with world powers find a solution.
We all need closure for our loved ones, we need much healing and forgiveness, and we need to move on with what we got left--Spring is here.

Yes, I do. Even worse: my American passport is the only in the family without biometric crap. Somehow I got the last good one. Every other passport we have is of new type, with that useless chip which does not add to security any bit. But the bureaucrats love them.

In the fact, "biometric" passport is less secure than the old one.

Please read it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biometric_passport

The entire thing is a complete stupidity. Please pay attention that Japan does not have biometric passport and they do not need visa to USA, EU and most other countries. I guess, there is much game going on and Japan simply a powerful enough country which can say "no!".

And only Canadian diplomats have biometric passport - but Canadians, too can travel to USA or EU visa-free.

pre 14 godina

Someone sent me this the other day and I thought that it might be helpful if I shared it.

"Therefore console one another with these words."

-First Letter of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians.

" Without making this a religious commentary(although people have said these quotes are very spiritual), it is important to watch the words that you use. All the words you say should be consoling, soothing, uplifting, encouraging, and helpful. Your words have a huge effect on the person you become and how they effect others.

This is easier said than done.I am one who loves to have fun, crack jokes and make others laugh. However, I realize that some comments are made at the expense of others. While no harm is meant at all, I realize that they are not always as good as they should be. The recipients of the comments know this--they laugh at the remarks as well. A good time is had by all. However, laughter can be enjoyed without any hurtful comments. Be Well."

Truth be told Marinels, it's less of a laughing matter than I make it seem. The K Albanians, more than anyone else, are getting the royal screw from this. If some are paying upwards of 3000 EUR, I can only imagine how much money that must be while the real culprits for the conditions they find themselves in, the K-Albanian leadership, most likely travels with Albanian, Croatian, or US passports. The people my country the USA was supposed to "help" in 1999 remain off the grid in almost every possible way, while the Pristina fat cats live off of privilege and handouts. That some ordinary Albanian would actually pay 3000 EUR just to get out of Kosovo is testament enough to the conditions of the region and the way in which the international community treats a region and people.

Whatever you say

Anything could happen in this world like Iran could nuke Israel or Sara Palin could become the first woman to become the US president but Serbia taking control of Kosovo is something that would happen only in your dreams.

Kosovo and Albania cannot travel free, but all their neighbors can. What does this tell anyone about what the real intentions of the EU are towards the Albanians. I think it's contain them, and keep their crime, and abuse of EU welfare, out of Europe as much as possible. And please, Albaniacs here, do not try and put some silly spin on this by saying that this is the Serb's fault.
(winston, 26 March 2010 16:22)

There are no faults, there is no blame, there are no winners and there are no losers. There is only Reality. While we are realizing this,we can lessen all of our suffering. Yes,suffering that we bring upon ourselves by keeping ourselves in bondage by failing to forgive each others mistakes, and to recognize the Reality in each other.

By forgiving your brothers mistakes and seeing
the Source in him, and recognizing that you come from the Identical Source--you have in that instant freed your brother for eternity, freed yourself, and healed the world.
There is no other escape from the world of illusions, where greed, fear and suffering live.

There is no salvation without your brother!

If there are still those out there that believe that
they can hurt someone, do harm, or even post a little hurtful comment on B92, without experiencing the same in a different form--are still in denial and "blind".

Wake up to Love and forgive your brother and see him as yourself--and your purpose in this life would be fulfilled.

Mikael C - "Think about it! Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia = free travel. Kosovo/Albania = no free travel." That's just too obvious for them to see, or maybe they just don't want to see the facts. They prefer the fantasy of believing they'll be entering Europe.

Kosovo USA - "For a price you can buy downtown Belgrade" Yeah, a very high price. Btu why don't you sell you nice Belgrade house and buy a piece of Albania with the cash - maybe half the coastline!

DingDong "I'm beginning to think the West set up an "independent Kosovo" with the aim of setting up a reservation for the albanians." That's exactly what it is. It'll be much easier for the EU and US to keep tabs on their "friendly" Jihad loving Albanian allies.

See, my question isn't so much why Albanians are paying so much money for a passport when they can simply (re)declare Serbian citizenship. My question is why these people want to leave this happy Land of Chocolate in the first place? Everyday we hear praise after praise by members of the Albanian diaspora who don't live in Kosovo and probably wouldn't move to Kosovo how allegedly wonderful Kosovo is. We also hear about these wonderful attempts by the Kosovo Albanian government in making every attempt to "integrate" large numbers of Serbs into their blissfully functioning state. Why according to our good friends PRN and Mirub Jager, Serbs are lining up - LINING UP I tell's ya - to get jobs in Kosovo because they just don’t want to live under the heavy hand of Belgrade tyranny anymore and want to be good obedient Kosovar/Kosovans/Kosovanians or whatever they’re supposed to be called.

So why are all of these Albanians spending their hard earned remittance money to buy passports that aren't part of their wonderful "country"?

You know what I think it is? I think this is nothing more than "dirty Milosheviq propaganda." That has to be it. €3000 for a Serbian biometric passport? All KiM citizens can obtain a passport much easier than that. However, getting out of prison camp Kosova (like escaping any other prison) requires contacts and lots of money. However, when caught you get thrown back into it - which we can see has happened only recently.

Serb MUPs who have infiltrated Kosovo have disguised themselves as Albanians and are making it look like everyone's leaving by buying the passports themselves. That has to be it. No "country" with the support from so many members of the Free World can possibly be THAT bad off, now can it?

If some are paying upwards of 3000 EUR, I can only imagine how much money that must be while the real culprits for the conditions they find themselves in, the K-Albanian leadership, most likely travels with Albanian, Croatian, or US passports. The people my country the USA was supposed to "help" in 1999 remain off the grid in almost every possible way, while the Pristina fat cats live off of privilege and handouts. That some ordinary Albanian would actually pay 3000 EUR just to get out of Kosovo is testament enough to the conditions of the region and the way in which the international community treats a region and people.

More albs are leaving Kosovo then during Milosevic. Ethnic clensing by EULEX. Where is NATO? Prepare for a "humanitarian intervetion" to save the poor Kosovars who are actually running away from poverty and nothing else. That was also the case during the 90s.

If Serbian politicians can be bought how come they haven't been bought into selling Kosovo? With financially powerful Kosovoindependence backers, this shouldn't be a problem?

Why don't you face the real facts to why the West recognized Kosovo. To keep you isolated. Think about it! Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia = free travel. Kosovo/Albania = no free travel.

The most wanted are Serbian biometric passports, "which cost up to EUR 3,000", the article claims.

€3000 for a Serbian biometric passport? All KiM citizens can obtain a passport much easier than that. However, getting out of prison camp Kosova (like escaping any other prison) requires contacts and lots of money. However, when caught you get thrown back into it - which we can see has happened only recently. It's easy for those ethnic Albanians in the west to spin this issue but those unfortunate enough to live in such conditions have to suffer.

Anyway, I'm off to Greece for a holiday with my Serbian biometric passport. The weather seems just right. Cheers!

Well, give them a chance to rethink a bit...as it says in the article they are having some graduates so it should mean they should be able to think analytically: back with motherland Serbia is the only way for any kind of prosperity...though myself as a Serb, I do not want that to happen.
Interesting would be only to regain our land, but if it goes in the package with local Kosovo Albanian population...rather no thanks.
So then we just keep them in the darkness of their brutality as a punishment for decades of uncivilized conduct toward your ex-Serbian and non Albanian expelled neighbours.

The only difference between Serbia and USA is the word "LOT".
May I remind you about utility scandal in California (PG&E bankruptcy), about Enron, about harmful gasoline additions to gasoline in California and so on.

Regarding the last I have my own little experiment.

I used the VERY SAME car in California on California gasoline (cancerogene MTBF additive mandatory) and in Kosovska Mitrovica on the "smuggled" gasoline. In the first case I could not achieve 20 mpg on California freeways. With the second, I had 28 mpg on Ibarska Magistrala.

Any explanation, please (besides that it was a small green chetnik in the engine and helped me)?
I repeated the same test many times, always same results: the "smuggled" gasoline is the cleanest-burning.

Come to Prishtina and see if it Serbia!

Your eyes will be hurt when you see everywhere a red and black flag!
(Hekuran, 27 March 2010 18:25)

Yes, I went there. Did see red flags with black eagle in some part of it.
Took be few minutes to drive southeast - and red-blue-white was everywhere, with white eagles, nicely overlooking Приштина. I was 100% sure, I am in Serbia.

Good day :)

Perhaps that’s the reason your people are paying 3000 plus Euros for Serb passport to leave the Albanian paradise on earth.

I think my eyes hurt more in Pristina seeing Hotel Victoria than the overabundant amount of red and black.

lili, ...just a question:

who is selling his pride or "sovereignty" here? =)

who earns money with people´s stupidity, when some are paying 3000 euro ( or was it dollars? =) )

to get something that they would get for free if they went to the next serb official building?

you know, if you can prove that you lived in Serbia before 1999, you have a right to get serbian documents.

in the end,you are a citizen of Serbia.

but if you so desperately wish to "prove" something ( what I consider to be very childish ) then you are free to pay 3000 ...

it´s your decision what you do with your money... IF it is your money, of course....

finally I ask you again, lili...

who is "selling his pride and ´sovereignty` here?" =)

think it over, before you write again... =)

We are all being controlled into believing what we have been conditioned to beleive in from birth. Take this as note, and concider this thought. Good day
