Tadić meets with Croatian counterpart

He (Tadic) wants so bad to get his hands on that translation of EU Laws, which Croatia has it.

Serbia already has a copy, just not from Croatia. What do you think, this is top secret classified information? It was handed over on CD to all of Serbia's neighbours. How hard is it to send to Serbia? I could probably get a copy myself if I wanted to.

Nothing to be overenthusiastic about.

Good regional cooperation is needed for Croatia to do the last and final push toward EU and we Serbians are far from EU as we have been at any time before.
So for Serbia this meeting should not be more then protocolar and maybe the chance that Tadić and Josipović harmonize their approach before Saturday's EU appearance. And again it will fill in much more Croatian diplomatic EU bag then ours. We will be just collateral success for Croatia's admission to EU.

Though Josipović is another page of diplomatic act in comperacy with Mesić, Croatian politics toward Serbia is and will always be coldly pragmatic and self-interest orientated.
So let's not blow up in Balkan style over-emotions.

B92 said croatia is angry and the economist said slovenia is vindictive. Why are they meeting? I bet he offered to give Tadic the CDs in order to get Tadic to come. Why would Tadic trust anything given to him from croatia?

I wonder if they will discuss hair dye.

I see a lot of Kosovo Albanians participate in commenting overall situations in Serbia, which is welcomed. But the comments are always biased and with a tendency to downgrade all that is done in Serbia.I wish I could give my comment in Kosovo's on line- media, but it is inaccessible.

Zoran, the document is a public document. You can probably find all 10,000 pages on soem 50 or so PDFs on EU websites.

All we need is a basic internet connection, a laser printer and hire a few translators.

This whole issue of the documents is nothing more then semantics, trying to distract people from other issues and EU insisting on some "hand over of the translation" as propaganda of how EU is forcing us to co-operate.

What is it with people they get fixated with the EU or some translations of some dumb documents. How some peoples or cheese or whatever has to jump through some hoops in that three ring circus. The sun rises and sets long after the EU. Its never ending burdensome bureaucracys of piling up rules and reg that squishes life it self or any people dumb in enough to bye in to it. It will create a black hole that sucks everything in and implodes best not to be near it when it dose. Its good when the leaders talk and find a common ground.

If only it were the last year ! Then I would tell them what to say and what to start with. Strange as it is that they speak one language but represent two mentally different peoples. Though the Croats still remain unrevenged I would prefer the relations to be improved. Serbia can’t afford fighting on all fronts at the same time. ( See how many poor comments the Albanians will give me for such a nightmare ! ) Also one cannot make friends only with far away big powers. Neighbors are like an objective reality one have to live with.

Mija, I agree with you. It’s nice to be able to read comments from people who we don’t agree with. It’s for our own education. It gives us ability to recognize who our foes are. And also gives us ability to better our selves. As for freedom of press and freedom of self aspersion and freedom of speech in Kosovo, good luck on that one. Albanians have always been way behind rest of Balkans on basic human rights.

Tsk, tsk. Otherwise Gábor Vona will tell you, where Abbázia, Fiume and Zágráb does belong to. And Hungarian "Zára" is misspelled by some ignorant, sorry souls as "Zadar". This is now a serious topic here, did see yesterday on TV his supporters are harassing people in Greece - so be careful.

You and Vona could be disappointed: I did look up at ethnic map of the area made by Austrian German ethnologists in 1910: according them even around Trieste everything was pretty much a southern-Slavonic place and the only Hungarian thing in "Isztria" and "Zágráb" was the "sz" and "á" + some tourists in Summer. Italian was only barely more than that:

But why, why, why these Germans, too, misspelled "Zára" and run out of the dark green color? Gábor Vona knows: it's all Elders of Sion, conspiring with Gypsies, Russians and Americans, that's why.
