There is NOTHING wrong with everyone having healthcare & I'm for it 100%, but when it hits the MIDDLE class more than ANYONE else, it's BS!

The people in the States who have been milking every dollar imaginable & the US gov't allowing it to happen is the reason the US is in the toilet.

Eleven Republican states are going to sue the federal government because it is against the constitution (the sovereignty of the states is being threatened). Where did we hear that same argument and then it was no problem? It is a disgrace that in such a rich country so many people lack basic health insurance. However, if these 30+ million people will enter the system another problem will arise: there are not enough doctors and it will take many years to erase that shortage. So for many years nothing will change despite good intentions of some.

no wonder we don't see the likes of Joe here these days, he must be real busy on the hotline to offshore bankers!

I am not a great fan of going personal to much. Luckily, this web site is not about him (or us). Sometimes I think, B92 is moderated with heavy hand, but looking what happens on most Hungarian forums - it is probably better this way. Peace.

Healthcare is a human right!

Yes and in last 10000 years there wasn't a single business which made profits on infrastructure and healthcare. Hence private business just can't handle these things well because their focus is on the quickest return of investment.

Question: you are a capitalist pig. You have $10. You have two choices:

- invest $10 and get back $12 in six month with 99.99% probabllity
- invest $10 and get back $1000 in 10 years with 20% probability.

What would you chose? Infrastructure and healthcare is precisely like that. Therefore all who want to see JAT, Serbian Railways, Serbian Telekom privatized should not forget: these belong to infrastructure.

Here the libertarians are plain wrong, they forget about a minor thing called "human psychology".

Obama & Co. will have to finance this humongous bill through taxation .... the rich must be real busy now, frantically looking for ways to conceal the extent of their income .... no wonder we don't see the likes of Joe here these days, he must be real busy on the hotline to offshore bankers!

This is great news, a victory for the working classes. I hope this saves many lives.

Republicans just don't know what is good for them, they can still keep and use their privatised healthcare if they want; but just wait until they screw you over due to a doctor-businessman's verdict of it not being life-threatening, therefore they refuse to cover the costs. Then they'll be grateful for this Healthcare Reform.

Healthcare is a human right!

Maybe now all these Republican nay-sayers will realise that you could have a
national health service that looks after the most vulnerable people in society without been branded as some kind of commusist conspiracy.

Simply the people with money will have to pay a bit more in taxes and the people without money will have healhtcare cover.

At last we have a programme in US where taxpayers money are put into good use.
