"Well, you may well be right, but whose fault was that? After all, as a symbol of the historic 1389 battle, when both Serbs and Albanians fought together on the same side, there is no special reason for Albanians to hate it, quite the contrary. But once it was ethno-politicised by Milosevic during his opportunistic rise in the 1980s, its symbolism evoked to proclaim Serb supremacism, to write the Albanians out of the story, and to go on and crush Kosova’s autonomy in blood and all the rest, then it is quite possible that many Albanians see it in the way Slobo wanted them to.

And if I am right does it not show intolerance and vengefulness on the parts of the K-Albanians? And these in spite of all the pretty speeches coming out of the mouths of those politicians in Pristina? All the more the K-Serbs should have the right to decide whether to live under such a dark cloud for the rest of their lives for themselves and their descendents, or to secede -- in particular those living north of the Ibar.

“Then why doesn't he go home? us out of Serbia now!
(JohnBoy, 21 March 2010 17:33)”

Hang on, wasn’t the Serbian orthodox church complaining the other day (with an article here on b92) about the *reduction* of KFOR troops? You lot ought make up your minds.

“He is so obviously lying through his teeth -- I can just visualize ethnic Albanians idolizing and embracing the Gazimestan!”

“The KFOR mission is under Resolution 1244. The plan for northern Kosovo is on a political level, and that is something we do not participate in,” he said."

Read and weep my fellow Serbo-albanians. 1244 is indeed still in effect. AND before you all jump, understand this; Serbia is the successor of Yugoslavia, according to INTERNATIONAL LAW. So don't try to bring this up as a technicality ... :)

Comment:
Anyway we all know what the real reason is -- Nato's gang leader is facing a financial crunch back.....

Its not a natural law, that Balkan gets money from other countries. Appreciate it or face the consequences!!!!

The sitation in the North is task on political level in Serbia and in Kosovo.

Europe will measure its support on, how they deal with it.

“We transfer responsibility for Gazimestan, which is a clear success for the Kosovo people and KFOR. The entire cultural heritage is a part of everyone who lives in Kosovo. The transfer of authority for protecting Gazimestan and the improved work of the Kosovo security forces are a successful story of the events in Kosovo,” he said."

He is so obviously lying through his teeth -- I can just visualize ethnic Albanians idolizing and embracing the Gazimestan! This man has absolutely no scruples whatsoever!

Anyway we all know what the real reason is -- Nato's gang leader is facing a financial crunch back home and desperate to cut costs any way it can -- starting of course with the oversized and overextended military budget.
