YU will always be associated with torture, Human Rights abuses and mass killings. Why anyone would declare themselves as Yugoslavian is beyond me. Thank god YU doesn't exist anymore. For all you so called Yugoslavs, either except your nationality as Serbian or leave. Tito is a Slovenian criminal.

Do we really need a "label" to be able to define "who we really are" as individuals?
(trudsaam, 20 March 2010 20:20)

No, but let me joke with Szemi and v.v.
There are things which should not be taken seriously. You need to keep eye on the style and it is often apparent, who is posting.

Till yet had to deal with all this American-Russian-Hungarian confusion.
And now I am a Chinese, too?

Faleminderit - that's fine for me. I rarely cook, but my sweet-sour pork is a star.

What about those who have muszka(russian) mother and bozgor (hungarian) father and on top of all that a yanke passport in their pocket ??? Euroatlanticoasians?
(Yusuf Henelovski, 20 March 2010 18:38)

Curious: the ones who have one parent from Slovenia, an other parent from Croatia but all their life lived in Belgrade - are they Chinese?

Xie-Xie (thanks).

I agree with the Chinese reader.
Jugoslavia can also refer to 'South Slavs'. Former Jugoslavia was almost to be named Balkania. More important is what a person feels. Citizens with mutlti-ethnic parentage deserve to have their identity recognised despite being loyal Serbian citizens. Amazing that this assault on the term Jugoslavs is coming from the same types who want to rush into a EUssr. Will they then ban the term Serb because one is meant to be a Euro?

Why sgould they be recognized as a minroity?

The only reason there were 80,000 of them because during the last census the country was stilled called Yugoslavia and thus people still had affinity.

Next census next year expect what happened in Croatia, Slovenia and FYROM to happen, they went from being in the tens of thousands to only 200 or less declared members.

Face it Yugoslavs are a historical curiositty, they peaked at some 1 mln in 1980. They'll all be gone by 2021.

Even the state they love never recognized them as a nation, but recognized 6 Yugoslav nations.

It is 80,000 in 2002. Now it is surely less. Perhaps half that, maybe even less. This organization clearly manipulates numbers to fit their goals... but it seems that almost all do that eh?

Gojko

pre 14 godina

80,721 is a very high number, however that is 8 years ago and was very close to the Milosevic era. The next census will not have that high of a number of Yugoslavs. If people want to call themselves Yugoslavs.... who cares as long as they are law abiding citizens.

Protest?

That would be per definition "living in parallel reality" or "living in denial".
If they are still crazy about Il Presidente Tito they can pick him from under his stone and leave with him to the territories where he is still adored. That would be, all ex-Yu states apart Serbia.
He was the one who has drawn for them that extensive borders they would never have otherwise.

P.S. Don't forget to pick up his puddles too...or whatever is left from them.
