Once I again I repeat I do not for one second believe this Srebrenica business but I would support a independent investigation held comprising of Bosniak and Serb specialists to settle this claim once and for all.
If the findings of this investigation prove that this crime did occur, then I agree to an apology.

Serbia does not have to state that it committed genocide, since it was the Bosnian Serbs that were the perpetrators. What is expected of Serbia is that it condemns the genocide and that is marks July 11th as a day to remember the victims of that genocide. Serbia is the country most responsible for the genocide since its president, politicians, intelligentsia, secret services, and military were the biggest supporters of Karadzic, Mladic, and other Bosnian Serbs that committed the genocide. The ICTY stated that Serbia was guilty of not preventing the genocide from taking place and for aiding and abetting those who committed the genocide (i.e. Mladic, Karadzic, and co.).

The current Serbian government is paid by the west and they are willing to pass as many resolutions as necessary, but you see for any resolution to have an affect requires bipartisan agreement, which they do not have. So they come out with this wishy washy statement which is meaningless. If you want anything more then ask your Bosniak government to agree to a proper investigation into the Srebrenica issue.
Me thinks there is a greater chance of the brown cow jumping over the moon before the Bosniaks agree to this.

Either ALL the Ex-YUGO states are guilty of crimes, or ALL the Ex-YUGO states are fully innocent from all "accusations". Pick one people and hurry, we got better things to be working on!!! Godo day :)

Why should Serbia take responsibility for something it did not do? Serbia never commited genocide in srebrenica or anywhere else in Bosnia for that matter, this is reaffirmed by the icj case where Serbia was acquitted of all genocide charges!

You are completely right FairPlay.

Srebrenica is up there with:
a) The Holocaust by the Germans, Austrians and associated fan clubs;
b) The genocide of the armenians by the Ottomans/Turks;
c) Genocide of Serbs, Jews and Gypsies by Croats, Albanians and Bosnian moslems;
d) Genocide in East Timor;
e) The Rwanda Genocide, etc.

I amazed at how many people are still incapable of understanding what genocide actually is (or even bother to do their homework), yet prefer their own 'interpretation' to any kind of reality. Well I suppose that is the kind of politically correct world we live in nowadays.

After all, as the ICTY said in the Krstic case, it's not all about numbers or even intent! No wonder none of its funders wanted it to morph in to the full time International Criminal Court. They wouldn't be seen dead in such a substandard and institutionally racist court such as the ICTY.

Without the proper term genocide being used to describe the crime (as has been proven by the ICTY and ICJ) the resolution won't be worth the paper it's written on. The Serbians should save the environment and not write a resolution at all. The Bosnian people will never accept a resolution that does not use the word genocide simply because it would be inaccurate and a blatant attempt to change history. It's time for Serbia to call a spade a spade and to accept responsibility for the crimes that were committed in their name and with the help of their political and military elite. This Serbian bird won't fly and the Serbian politicians should not be surprised if the EU requires them to write another resolution with the word genocide in it.
