Let’s look at that statement. It’s not the people but the western appointed governments, except of course for the Croats, they have a special axe to grind. If Croatians and Albanians have a dry season then it’s the Serbs fault.
How difficult is it to understand that Serbs don’t care what anyone in the region thinks about us. How difficult is that to comprehend?????? People like you find it hard to understand that Serbs are not on their knees begging for whatever but unlike the rest in that region Serbs have backbone.
Name another group that has withstood all the west has thrown at it. The silence is deafening!

What I don't understand is HOW CAN SERBS BE SO BLIND TO THE FACT THAT NO ONE in the region supports them? And when you do point that out, they just go back to their default position of "well we are the best, so who cares". It's pitiful to watch.

No one supports Serbs? Really?

Serbia has full support of Greece and to your horror Bosnia. Neither one has recognised you nor will.
Most Montenegrins support the Serbs, most Romanians and yes even Macedonians. Their governments might have sold out but the people themselves support Serbs.
Now who exactly supports the Albanians? You have Croatians supporting you fully but that's it. You are surrounded by people who don't support you and even dislike you with a passion.

Let's not have a narrow view about this either. Most of the world supports Serbia and NOT "KOSOVA".

So think again. Who has support of most of the world here? Yes, you guessed it right. SERBIA!!!!

'It's so discouraging to see that B92, supposedly a progressive media outlet, allows some Serb hyper-nationalists to use terms which would not be worthy of even the 12th century.

I think you'll find there are just as many Albanian hyper nationalists on here as Serb ones.

Despite being on its knees Greece hasn't done this. See now Serbs who your true friends are.

Ben,

Almost all in Tibet favour an independent Tibet. So what is the West waiting for?

Same for Kurdistan?

And what about Abkhazia? Almost equal to a Soviet Republic. Still Kosovo can go. But Abkhazia can't. Double standards. Very sad!

Last summer I travelled to Ohrid and heard many times about a sort of "code" not to sell any properties to albanians, the reason being of their fear of loosing their land. Sad but true. Travelling further North I realized what that fear meant while driving along the albanians "strong hold"; you actually can't miss it because apart form albanian flags and mosques in every little village, there are not many macedonian signs to be seen!
(The Swiss, 15 March 2010 21:34)

Can you quantify what do you mean by "not many" so that we don't have to rely on your subjective perceptions, which we here all know by now tend to be very biased, most often anti-Albanian? If we can all be subjective here like you are being, we can say that there are not enough Albanian signs in "Macedonian strong holds" which you can't miss because of the churches in every little village (The Serbian archdiocese is in conflict with the Macedonian one). Nice try throwing derogatory remarks in supposed disguise.

Attention to those getting hot under the collar about Skoplje / Macedonia. In the English language it is common to use the nation's capital to describe the country's policy / position in this way.

ie in local dialect it is wrongly translated into English as 'Official Belgrade' etc etc. Belgrade, Skoplje, Tirana etc will suffice.

So brush up on your language skills please...

It's only a matter of time before you are saluting an Albanian flag.
If you are a coward and refuse to stand up to bullies, don't complain when you are forced to totally submit to them.
If you try to fight, you might get help but if you surrender you will lose for sure.
Start learning that language as well.

That statement will surely help your ethnic Macedonian population prosperity once when your country "friendly" Albanians do start splitting that country into the pieces.

It is refreshing to hear how isolated Serbia is in the region.

The ppl that lived in Yugo federation ALL agree that Kosova was equal among equals.

It is ONLY Serbia that think that she is more equal then Kosova and others of the former Yugo.

In Kosova ALL ethnic groups are happy with the independent Kosova: Montenegrins, Turks, Ashkalis, Croats etc is is again ONLY Serbs that are against.

Fortunately not ALL Serbs in Kosova are against.

Many are fully integrated and proud of their state, as the participation of K-Serbs in KPS, KSF, ministries and loc admin is showing.

Kosovo is Serbia, of course we're equal to Kosovo. And your piont about Serbia being isolated; well seems like you haven't heard how every nation has stated Serbia as leader of the region. So good luck with your ambition, you have gone nowhere, and are headed nowhere but to Belgrade. :)

In all honesty, who is really surprised by the comments from FYROM? With a 30% population of albanians conspiring to eventually destroy and redraw the maps of FYROM, no wonder they are desperate in their attempts to appease. Say anything, do anything, but in the end you won't have a say and you won't be able to do anything about it. Territorial integrity of Kosovo...you jackasses, Kosovo is Serbian.

I will crack a bottle of champagne when the collapse of FYROM nears it's doom....INAT!
