regarding portugal's recognition of kosovo - let's not forget it took ages for portugal to do so. countries that recognised kosovo can be divided in those who were involved in the conflict and are actively pushing for its independence and those who were bullied and/or bribed into recognising it, but won't move a finger in supporting that end. portugal belongs to the latter group. such countries won't ask serbia to recognise kosovo which is what serbia's diplomacy strives for. supporting this policy means supporting serbia and not kosovo because kosovo will never become really independent in this way.

B92 is not going to report about the terrorist act last night when a EULEX jeep was attached my grenade and automatic gun fire (Zubin Potok)? Oh nevermind, I forgot that B92 only publishes sensational journalism; B92 can't have Serbs appear criminal, you guys will just pretend it never happened.
(RKS, 13 March 2010 18:35)

b92 did report about it and that fact makes you look very stupid.

...reach a solution of compromise for the future status of Kosovo, and increase the speed of Serbia’ European integration.

It looks like Jeremic gets tired of travelling around. Every day another country and after the visit you have to say eiher: "...though we acknowledged the different view we have about Kosovo", or "the ..... government is firm in his support of our stance on Kosovo".
OR does he really give in and, like Porugal, he suddenly exepts Kosovo's independence?

"Backing down" on Kosovo? The Kosovo/a issue is not an issue of "backing down" or "backing up". Kosovo/a is independent from Serbia whether Jeremic like it or not. We all agree on that. The issue is what is Serbia doing to improve the relations/situation with "its province" if you like before being allowed to join EU. My answer would be NOTHING. That will not be overlooked by the EU when considering Serbia's application to join the EU club.
