Yes, that would be really terrible. There's few in the financial world whom I detest more than that Hungarian American Soros.

If other EU-governments are doing Greece a favour and issuing loans and buying up bonds at an interest rate that is below what the (free?) financial market is willing to do, then those governments are effectively giving up on a potential profit. Instead Greece is saving money by not paying the higher interest, saving money, taking money away from tax-payers all over Europe.

From the article: "European Union rules state that no nation in the euro bloc should have an annual budget deficit which is higher than 3 percent of its gross domestic product."

Too bad that said rule was never enforced. If it had, then we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now. But enforcing that rule would have been soooooo embarrassing for the big shots in EU, because it would have required Germany, France, Spain, Italy and possible others, to rein in their deficits. Instead all kinds of excuses and technicalities where put forward as to why the deficits "really wasn't exceeding the 3 percent".

Shame on everyone involved this scam.

But - you can fool all people once, and you can fool some persons many times, but you can not fool all people all the time. And now the time is up. Now is the time when reality has caught up with the scammers, and reality is here to bite them at their heels.

And on this forum we have countinously heard from Greeks that they don't need Eu money....
(luigi, 13 March 2010 13:45)

What the "Greeks" have said in here, as well as the prime minister has continuously repeated is that Greece has not ASKED for any money by anyone. It is quite different than need.... if they want to LEND 25 billion at normal rates (and not "give" as it falsely mentioned even by B92) to stop the devaluation of the Euro a bit sooner, they are free to do so....

I had an extra serving of feta cheese last night in support of the Greeks.

The Greeks will get out of debt when Albania and Turkey join EU. That's right after Serbia joins in the year of 8=D~

By the way the Bulgarian "feta" is more yellow in color and heavier in weight than the Romanian "feta". The Serbs have the most expensive cheese--Donkey cheese. Unlike the old Dardanian recipe in where the cheese was scraped-off, the Serbs get their cheese from milking.

Long Live EU ?
(MIRCHEESE, 13 March 2010 18:08)

Please DO NOT scary us! If Greece will get rid of the debt when Albania and Turkey..., then Greece will never pay off!!

If you had an "extra serving" of feta cheese that's too much feta! There is no Bulgarian Feta or Romanian Feta!! Feta cannot be yellow- EVER, it's impossible because of the procedure! And no, the Donkey cheese is not the most expensive in the world even if it's 1000 euros! (unfortunately for us Serbs, but we can rise the price) "Scraped off" but not from milking?!! What's that?! It looks like cosmetic peeling!! Unlike the Dardanian..., this one is from Milking??!! Are you sure it's Cheese?? Don't tell me the "Daiya" is Dardanian one??

"Long Live in EU ?" (are you high, because if you are I'll definitely understand- ALLOWED!! APPROVED!!..)

What did you wanted to say, actually?

Greece has not requested help so far. The EU says no deal has been agreed but technical work is continuing
B92

You've heard well.Greece has not requested help so far.But as a pseudo-expert on financial matters can you tells us since when did financial guarantees and high-interest loans, which have not been requested by Greece, have become bailouts?

Why can't you undrestand that Greece won't be taking any money from anyone. The EU will be simply making loans and financial guarantees to Greece who will pay an interest to make use of these loans and guarantees.

We'll simply won't be forced by the financial pimps of the
Wall Street and the City of London to pay them exorbintant rates of interest
so as to pay themselves mega bonuses.

Finally, there're sinister reasons behind the spin and the negative reporting on the BBC and the British press in general on Greece. It
is the attempt by the British financial establishment that the british debt is even worse than Greece's one.

There is also the fear that the credit-rating of the British sovereign debt is the next in line to be attacked by speculators. If that happens G Soros will be laughing all the way to his offshore accounts.

Petty investors like myself :) have been stocking up on the euro with our spare cash in anticipation of a profit in the long-run when the currency recovers.

Meanwhile what a bitter lesson it must be for the Greeks about being part of a common currency. Because you can't depreciate your currency to a level required by your economy, unlike the Icelandics and Yankees.
