And then there was Racak, or should I say, the Racak HOAX. Come on, we have all seen the video commemorating the anniversary where Albanian civilians lie and describe decapitation of women and children - yet all of those killed were MEN. There were no decapitations and those people on the tape should be publicly humiliated for their lies. Do you people ever get tired of repeating your own BS?

Thank you B92 for editing my response beyond comprehension. Now, it is my opinion that the NATO court was responsible for his death. That was my point.

Milošević claimed that someone in the Hague Tribunal had taken “active and deliberate steps” to destroy his health and that the judges had denied his request to travel to Moscow for treatment in order to cover it up.

slobo turned out to be an evil beast thru and thru. personally responsible for so much misery, both inside serbia and throughout the balkans.

given a different set of historical circumstances he could have ended up just another boring, brooding apparatchik. instead he and his darling wife took up the challenge of becoming "another Tito" (how perverse is that?) and set nearly the entire ex-yugoslavia on fire. with help, of course. whether others admit his guilt or their own culpability in it is not my interest or problem.

years later, at the hague, i watched this creep in his not-so-full glory, twice; and it was just like watching another bad mafia flick, but with more exotic accents and on stage. the court allowed him, time and time again, to re-persecute his original victims. it was a sickening spectacle while we played the voyeurs. again.

slobo finally croaked because of a very dangerous game of Russian Roulette. slobo was always smart, but this time he outsmarted even himself. always tactics over long term strategy. if he could just keep pushing it and pushing it (artificially raising an already dangerously high blood pressure), surely they would have to send him to Mother Russia for the cure... surely... but no, the judges couldn't quite stoop that low. one morning they found him, poor lifeless thing. nassir oric (yes, everyone's favorite) later commented: slobo just couldn't live without his beloved mira.

oh, please!

and we all wasted way too much time on him, his life, his thoughts and obsessions. his evil, which was way too catchy.

after how many years at the hague were they unable to actually convict the man. it is a little bit tasteless to lay further accusations against a man who was not found guilty. It certainly didn't take as long to convict at Nuremberg. Perhaps there was more to it than our great 'open' media and governments have told us. And you might want to remember that Sloba was actually a US man. The reason why they hated him so much is that he turned his back on them when he realised that unless he took an anti US stance he would lose power.

The irony is that it was his mistakes that led him to that position in the first place. Even the most elemental political scientist could have seen the risk for Jugoslavija after the collapse of communism, but Sloba wasn't concerned about that. Oh no, he had much greater things on his mind - how to stay in power until the end of his lifetime!

I'll never defend Him beyond my limits but Serbia owed not more than 25 billions (not sure exactly at this moment) and Greece UNFORTUNATELY is speculated that owe 300 billions right now.., without any embargo and wars behind. Unfortunately Mother Russia does not need that "poor thing". Why did they accept Mira - is an other question. Why Putin did raise to power - a third one. I recently wrote my rambling about that, do not want to repeat. Say "thanks" to American political establishment. Not just that fine gentleman (Slobo) was their pet, but Saddam and Osama, too. And without them Putin would be not in the position he is today.

Anyway - please tuck away your ambivalence towards "Mother Russia", in particular that mentioning it in the same line with Milosevic is an insult.

Yes, the lesson is: do not trust ANY politician and ANY agenda. Good idea is to treat all of them as evil until the opposite is proven. Keep politics firmly separated from the private life. Make sure, you have AT LEAST two passports. And be ready that "THEY" can decide at any time to clean you dry, for whatever reason. Do not fall into trap to believe BS like "homeland", "faith", "patriotism" and so on. How funny: the ones who expect us sacrifice our lives for THEIR homeland and THEIR faith somehow always are reluctant to do the same. Your homeland and faith is your inner circle and your conscience and it's of no ones business. If you are lucky, you won't need to arm yourself to protect it. If you can afford it - be a tourist in your own homeland. And obviously the material goods (cars, money, houses, etc.) have only as much value as much comfort they provide to you. You won't need more than that.

Once again you miss the essence of the discussion. I’m not crying, if fact it the opposite; we Serbs with RS have 80% of what was valuable in the old Yugoslavia. The rest is not worth that much and that even includes your beloved Croatia, but we have not finished there either.
I am not a socialist or communist, but I look at the situation from an unemotional perspective and considering what was in store for us Serbs, I prefer it happen to your lot than mine, we suffered enough in WW2 at the hands of Croats and their “Croatian flowers”, the Moslems.
You seem to be very lucky to be in tune with God and see old Slobo in a hot place, but if that was the case you Franjo Tudjman and Pope Paul 2 will be in the seat next to him.
To cheer you up, I have some more bad news. Croatia CANNOT join the EU until the borders are settled with Serbia and the refugee question of compensation is settled.

You might not think like that but the freedom loving democratic powers in Washington and Brussels feel otherwise. There is a fear that any one of the Milosevic group could get a lot of sympathy votes, especially as the Serbian economy is not doing too well. If they were not afraid then allow them free passage in Serbia what harm could they do? It would be like you or me going there. The fear is people have very short memories.
I have yet to meet a politician that was not interested in power. Even the worst carries a “Field Marshall’s baton in the knapsack” just in case the nation calls to take up leadership.
Milosevic was a smart person and he played one side against the other. This guy could have run any of the biggest corporations in the world and even Lawrence Eagleburger stated that fact.
The west had one agenda for Yugoslavia. Break it up into smaller territories which rely on the Germans. Croatia and Slovenia on top while Serbia to be busted up into very small holding to serve the rest.
After Milosevic was toppled the EU went to Belorussia and told Alexander Lukashenko that they would remove him the same way as they removed Milosevic. Alex’s reply was “if I have to kill 20, 30 or 40 thousand to stay in power then I’ll do that. The EU left and Alex is still in power and his country is doing very well indeed – much better that the Baltic states.
When they came for Milosevic and his supporters wanted to fight it out with the special police, Milosevic told then no because he did not want any Serbian blood split over him. That’s the difference!

That case was all about Kurdish people being smuggled into Europe through Romania Bulgaria and Turkey to Hungary.
Anyone with the slightest knowledge in European affairs knows freezer trucks are the smugglers preferred modus operandi for smuggling through roadways. The local paper that started the hoax was never investigated for their facts instead every article in the west quoted it. This story being reminicent of Ruder Finn tactics, their job is not about the truth but about distibuting favourable media(propaganda)presentations.
The truck was found to have slid into the river off the road and not fully but partially submerged why was this fact ommited? no-one getting rid evidence as it is alluded would do that. Not all the people in that truck were dead why was that not reported? Two reasons for the Western media they would be discredited for Milosevic's media it would uncover the corrupt behaviour of some of his ministers who were involved in the smuggling.

I've seen a clip of one of the 'witnesses' in the Milosevic trial, who says that he went to see Milosevic in his office, which was the first door on the left. Much to the guy's embarassment, Milosevic informed the court that his office was actually upstairs.

No, it was perfect- soft, tender and sticky! Sea salt, white whine, olive oil and 5,5 hours on slow fire. NO SPICES! I'd really share with you while exchanging opinions, but really! Maybe we even lunch one day when we get old enough. Today I'll make Chicken with Rosemary but for someone else, we Indians do not eat meat on two legs as some gentleman from Lichtenstein, beside others. And this will be "working" lunch where no one except me is satisfied on the end. Don't come! That's why is chicken! You might not think like that but the freedom loving democratic powers in Washington and Brussels feel otherwise. There is a fear that any one of the Milosevic group could get a lot of sympathy votes, especially as the Serbian economy is not doing too well. I have yet to meet a politician that was not interested in power. Even the worst carries a “Field Marshall’s baton in the knapsack” just in case the nation calls to take up leadership.
Milosevic was a smart person and he played one side against the other. This guy could have run any of the biggest corporations in the world and even Lawrence Eagleburger stated that fact.
The west had one agenda for Yugoslavia. Break it up into smaller territories which rely on the Germans. Croatia and Slovenia on top while Serbia to be busted up into very small holding to serve the rest.
After Milosevic was toppled the EU went to Belorussia and told Alexander Lukashenko that they would remove him the same way as they removed Milosevic. Alex’s reply was “if I have to kill 20, 30 or 40 thousand to stay in power then I’ll do that. The EU left and Alex is still in power and his country is doing very well indeed – much better that the Baltic states.
When they came for Milosevic and his supporters wanted to fight it out with the special police, Milosevic told then no because he did not want any Serbian blood split over him. That’s the difference!

Without this man Serbia would have been dismembered into tiny pieces and Serbs would have been servants in their own country. I've seen a clip of one of the 'witnesses' in the Milosevic trial, who says that he went to see Milosevic in his office, which was the first door on the left. Much to the guy's embarassment, Milosevic informed the court that his office was actually upstairs.

He may have no sold organs but he did kill innocent people. The ice cream truck on the Danube filled with dead people, batajnica runway, Racak etc happened under his watch. He is dead and you affraid of him? Very brave of you.

That case was all about Kurdish people being smuggled into Europe through Romania Bulgaria and Turkey to Hungary.
Anyone with the slightest knowledge in European affairs knows freezer trucks are the smugglers preferred modus operandi for smuggling through roadways. The local paper that started the hoax was never investigated for their facts instead every article in the west quoted it. This story being reminicent of Ruder Finn tactics, their job is not about the truth but about distibuting favourable media(propaganda)presentations.
The truck was found to have slid into the river off the road and not fully but partially submerged why was this fact ommited? no-one getting rid evidence as it is alluded would do that. Not all the people in that truck were dead why was that not reported? Two reasons for the Western media they would be discredited for Milosevic's media it would uncover the corrupt behaviour of some of his ministers who were involved in the smuggling.
Like the Racak hoax this was another one.

Unfortunately Mother Russia does not need that "poor thing". Why did they accept Mira - is an other question. Why Putin did raise to power - a third one. I recently wrote my rambling about that, do not want to repeat. Say "thanks" to American political establishment. Not just that fine gentleman (Slobo) was their pet, but Saddam and Osama, too. And without them Putin would be not in the position he is today.

Anyway - please tuck away your ambivalence towards "Mother Russia", in particular that mentioning it in the same line with Milosevic is an insult.

Yes, the lesson is: do not trust ANY politician and ANY agenda. Good idea is to treat all of them as evil until the opposite is proven. Keep politics firmly separated from the private life. Make sure, you have AT LEAST two passports. And be ready that "THEY" can decide at any time to clean you dry, for whatever reason. Do not fall into trap to believe BS like "homeland", "faith", "patriotism" and so on. How funny: the ones who expect us sacrifice our lives for THEIR homeland and THEIR faith somehow always are reluctant to do the same. Your homeland and faith is your inner circle and your conscience and it's of no ones business. If you are lucky, you won't need to arm yourself to protect it. If you can afford it - be a tourist in your own homeland. And obviously the material goods (cars, money, houses, etc.) have only as much value as much comfort they provide to you. You won't need more than that.

And you might want to remember that Sloba was actually a US man. The reason why they hated him so much is that he turned his back on them when he realised that unless he took an anti US stance he would lose power.

The irony is that it was his mistakes that led him to that position in the first place. Even the most elemental political scientist could have seen the risk for Jugoslavija after the collapse of communism, but Sloba wasn't concerned about that. Oh no, he had much greater things on his mind - how to stay in power until the end of his lifetime!

No, it was perfect- soft, tender and sticky! Sea salt, white whine, olive oil and 5,5 hours on slow fire. NO SPICES! I'd really share with you while exchanging opinions, but really! Maybe we even lunch one day when we get old enough. Today I'll make Chicken with Rosemary but for someone else, we Indians do not eat meat on two legs as some gentleman from Lichtenstein, beside others. And this will be "working" lunch where no one except me is satisfied on the end. Don't come! That's why is chicken! BTW today is another commemoration in the other article and I'm glad no one is posting over there, (by now) hope it will stay like this. Thugs of this were thugs of another, cost them lives in both of the cases.. You cannot mix with thugs being not thug enough .. I'm happy with unpleasant lunch and chicken today.
