I must beg to differ; Albania and the territories which Albanians inhabit; namely Kosovo and Metohija, pockets of southern Serbia and western Macedonia are a long way from Bosnia and Hercegovina as I have visited these areas last summer.

Driving through Republika Srpska one would be forgiven for thinking it a more affluent place than Serbia, however Macedonia is quite rightly as you said on similar living standards as Albania. As we are seeing; Macedonia is not sustainable to any great extent, nor is the "kosova" which has been forcefully created, these countries will not be around for long.

My point remains; where Albanians are, so povety can be found. The Yugoslav nations were at war for half a decade and yet still manage to stand on their feet today. Albania's social problems created the effects of a decade long war in it's country, these same problems were transported to neighboring Macedonia and Serbia where they have successfully hampered development and in the case of Serbia, provoked a military response. There is only so long that such actions can be tolerated. Once Serbia is no longer supressed there will be an end to Albanian expansionism.

"Albanians are a long way away socially and economicaly from any Yugoslavian nations"

It is funny how Serbs bragg about the superior "Yugoslav nations." I forgot Serbia was the Switzerland of the Balkans. Most former Yugoslav countries are no better than Albania.

Albania is already economically on par with Macedonia and Bosnia, at this current rate of growth it will surpass both countries in living standards soon.

Pejoni,
ahem! importing asian women to increase Serbian fertility? I think this radical claim has completely undermined your comment, and as a peice of advice for the future if you wish to be taken seriously; dont speak such complete rubbish.
Serbia is going through a dark peroid currently where it is not developing to the standards which are expected by it's citizens and infact the rest of the world. The main factors which have lead to this are external influences which are against our interests i.e the dismantlement of Yugoslavia and the current anexion and realisation of the Greater Albania ideal.
These problems are plagueing our nation and are intrinsically linked to the fact that the current big players in world think that weakening Serbia will increase their influence in our neck of the woods. This may be true however it will not last.
Albanians are a long way away socially and economicaly from any Yugoslavian nations and will be forever unless somesort of new culture evolves among our "arnaut" neighbors. In Serbia and Macedonia there are massive Albanian populations which serve generally to lower the living standards of the regions which is evidensed by the fact that southern Serbia and Western Macedonia are the poorest areas in the Balkans coupled with Albania. Neither country has the capabilities or means to support such a large uneducated population which generally brings with it alot international crime links; hampering any economic progress. A dismal state of affairs which will be rectified in the near future by a powerfull Belgrade which will not bow infront of the criminals.

I am so sick and tired to read that Serbia and the Serbian population are being made guilty for everything. Why should Serbia put efforts to make life easier for ethnic Albanians in South Serbia? Why Albanians are always arguing that Serbia is guilty for their bad living conditions. I am really sick and tired about this poor mentality. Serbia is paying so hard for the mistakes of the last 20 years. What else Europe and above all the Albanians want? Shall Serbia give up all their territories now and hand them over to Albanians because they claim to be Illyrians who lived there 2000 year ago. And then of course the living conditions will be much better. We can see the results in Kosovo. I am so sick and tired... full stop!

Bravo, this is the reality which englulfed Kosovo and Metohija and lead to it's economic problems which drove Serbs away for many decades as the conditions became intolerable. However Albanians having no choice to move as relatives in Albania or Macedonia were most likely in a even worse situation had to stay.
The problem is also lack of education, Serbs generaly have European ideals and values so have few children but Albanians who are generaly far less educated have not embraced these values and are behind, this is why the point which has been raised by the minister is valid. Money must be invested here to educate people and to create jobs which will allow them to support families of average size i.e 2-3 children.
It is now almost more important to invest in security for Serbs in southern Serbia and the areas of Kosovo which are Serb as the danger for these people and conditions which they are living in are a more pressing issue than increasing the economic situation, money is good but if someone is pointing a gun to your head you may as well be pennyless.

Either you face the problem, stop discrimination, set an agenda how these people can cath-up by better education and more ifrastructural investment, or you hang on to racist ideas and defamation.

Well thank God our women still produce children, unlike Serbian women who have almost stopped that one of your ministers went that far suggestiong importing Asien women to get Serbian population back on track. Yet, Serbia with low fertility rate is not even close to EU standards, so this has nothing to do with how many children you produce, economically its what your Government decide to spend money and invest in that particularly region.

Watched an albanian being interviewed before being sent back to Macedonia. He fled to Belgium because he had 5 children and was unable to provide for them and himself. I live in Sweden and doubt that I would be able to provide for 5 children here without a well paying job. Many albanians have loads of children without thinking of how to provide for them. Then they go whining about how their situation. Next time don't have so many children! But I guess becoming a majority populations and "conquering" territory is more important then the wellbeing of your children.
