"Everybody knows that Romania has highest population of Roams. "
Yes, ACS, but they are EU citizens. It`s a legal difference. I don`t say that Serbia "has" to join the EU, that`s their problem. But if they don`t, they should not complain.

Geeee.... it's still the same romanized Illyrian-Thracian-Dacian brigands with long gun, mustache, fustanella and Slavic + Greek influence up in the mountains. Languages are very different today - but 1500 years ago much closer.

Either way, it's either bunch of ex-Romanians in a southern part of YU, sitting up the mountains and throwing the cheese at Serbs or a bunch of ex-Albanians sitting up in Carpathians and throwing the cheese down the valleys of Erdély :-P

The bloody thing thrown at Hungarians is being called "mãmãligã cu brânzã ºi smântânã" whereas "brânzã" is "брындза" (Village-Bey's cheese), "smântânã" is "сметана" (павлака, sour cream) and the rest is genuine Italian polenta. IMO, that tells pretty much who Romanians are. It's about as "Gypsy" as sake after sushi.

This is a call for serbian government to invest more in southern part of Serbia and therefore ensure that Serbia has equal development in all its territory. It's very easy to see the difference between Presevo, Bujanovac and Vranje and other cities in the north.

Yaroslav, Adrian and Hahaha,
Please read my post once again. Especially the part where it starts off with

"are not" with the question mark at the end.

I was just commenting on Adrian's rhetorical theory of why Serbia needs to be in the EU, so that the Roma will stay in Serbia.

Everybody knows that Romania has highest population of Roams.

Sorry, but I missed the history class in Canada the day we were studying the Roma.

hahaha

pre 14 godina

Roma are not Romanian. They have nothing to do with eachother. Roma originate from India and their language most closely resembles indian and sri lankan languages. I guess by your logic Serbs must originally come from Siberia.

Adrian, Timisoara

"I am pretty sure that the Roma are related to the Italians and Romanians, they even have a similar Latin based language.

The Serbian Roma population came to the former Jugoslavia from Romania for a better life. Once upon a time Jugoslavia had a great welfare system."

Is that what you learned in history? Poor canadians! But, sure we will send them back! They are no EU citizens. It`s Serbia`s problem what to do with it`s citizens. Keep them at home.

Yaroslav

Another Canadian Serb,

if you honestly think Roma have anything to do with Romanians you should be sent back to school and be re-educated.

Gypsies/Roma have nothing to do with Romanians.

Adrian, Timisoara

Yeah right! Have you seen how gypsies live in Romania? If not take a look at the following links.

I can see why Serbian gypsys want to go to Romania for a "better life".

Adrian,

I happen to live in Finland, and believe it or not, Finland has huge problem with Romainan Romas. You see, being a EU member has nothing to do with this and certainly does not mean much in this context.

As for asylum seekers from Serbia, they should come to the country they belong to and hopefuly be revoked the right on Serbian passport for some years. That should apply to everyone who misuse Serbian passport.

Predrag,
it is because there is no drive thru Tim Hortons available in Kosovo.

The only drive in Kosovo is drive by shootings.
(Another Canadian Serb, 10 March 2010 14:30)

What?? Oh my God. Does that also mean there is no Dunkin Donuts in Kosovo either.

Adrian,

Are not the people named Roma related to Romanians?

After all you do have the same prefix of Roma.

I am pretty sure that the Roma are related to the Italians and Romanians, they even have a similar Latin based language.

The Serbian Roma population came to the former Jugoslavia from Romania for a better life. Once upon a time Jugoslavia had a great welfare system.

Adrian, you should help integrate your fellow Roma back into their society of Romania and stop sending them back to Serbia.

(Adrian, Timisoara, 10 March 2010, 12:24)

Wow, that is a pretty bold statement coming from a country that is in the EU but still exports tons of Roma to other EU countries...

EU membership does not solve all the woes of the world, does it?

So we have ethnic Albanians claiming asylum due to economic circumstances? I don't think visa free travel will be extended to Albania for quite some time then.

No worries, Leterme.
This case will be closed soon and resolved simply.

Bunch of Albanians from South tried to misuse the system as usual. We should act together and act swiftly. Sending them back, in the short procedure of 24 hours, and upon returning they should be legally charged and sentenced with community labor to repay the transport costs to Belgium and Serbia.
There are lot of bumpy roads in South to be repaired so we will nicely teach them to be community responsible by involving them in this public works.
Same will apply with Sandzak Muslims, where we may expect next "asylum" problem shortly and mostly in Germany.
