Yes, I know that song. We met the real "józsi" tough in our garden a year ago. He was pretty big and he wasn't very happy that he got our attention. Kids did see a large grey bag under the tree, turned out the gray "bag" has gazillion spikes and pointy black nose. Hope (s)he survived this harsh winter.

An other time we observed one just sitting outside. We went on the "libegö" up, looked down on the gardens beneath of us - and geeee.... there was a józsi sitting there and enjoying the sunshine.

My favorite józsi:

according to historian jovan detetic, the real tito was excecuted in spain before the war started and walter weiss took his place. yes, he could barely speak serbian, but he knew polish, russian and hungarian. the real tito, from slovenia had dark hair and dark eyes, and was a smaller man, the tito we knew, had blue eyes and was a pretty hefty individual.

. And he could speak fluently Hungarian, too - it is said, during meetings with János Kádár they met without interpreters.

Both features are pretty unique - try to find a similar person.

Ösmerek öjjet te fázikázsos muszká (I know such person you russian fazekas(ataman's former high school) grduate)/mixed accent of a Kádár and an average russian speaking hungarian/.
I myself happen to have an advanced level russian and serbo-croat exam from Rigó street. However russians say that I speak russian with slight polish accent while southern slavs say that I speak their languge witha little russian accent.Strange.
Maybe I was a bit boastful, but if some others may be about their life and death french exams why not?
Otherwise Kádár and Aliga(former holiday resorts for party elite at Balaton lake).Do you remeber the good old pioneer song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4-ztmRcaDU

The new version sounds like this :Mint az elvtárs Aligán A kis Süni oly vidám.(the comrade in aliga is as happy as the littl hedgehog) unfortunatelly sounds good only in hungarian.

Dad says that this guy could barely speak Serbo/Croation.

The real Tito was not that tough to recognize and whom your father did see was probably him. Tito spoke Serbo/Croatian with heavy Russian accent because there he did spent most of his early life. And he could speak fluently Hungarian, too - it is said, during meetings with János Kádár they met without interpreters.

Both features are pretty unique - try to find a similar person. OK, with a strong 6-month course of Serbo/Croatian I can do the same, but my own life was strange enough, too.

Be sure, that old man Tito is long dead. Again, we have a figure that America backed, that brought nothing but conflict to the former Yugoslavia. He worked his own agenda, not in the best interest of Yugoslavs. He made a mess with Kosovo, allowing Albanians from Kosovo to come and settle there. He made a mess in be partial to other federations, besides Serbia. He was a Croat, and that is where he should have been, not in Belgrade. The biggest mistake the West made was not to back the Chetniks and Mihajlovic. They were the USA's allies, not the partizans. It is not the only time the USA made a mistake, look at what they did, and continue to do in Kosovo, supporting the Albanians.

The stories about Tito are very strange indeed. My father spent 5 years in the first regular Yugoslav army after WW2 i.e 1945 to 1950 and most were in Macedonia and Kosovo travelling on foot from one end to the other.
He still relays the story when Tito came to Macedonia in 1948 and gave a couple of speeches to the troops. My dad was part of the security detail and he stood within 3 feet of Tito when he gave those speeches. Dad says that this guy could barely speak Serbo/Croation.
Whether this was a double for Tito dad does not know, but he claims he would not be surprised because during that period it was dangerous for someone like Tito from coups or assassination. Perhaps this is where these rumors about Tito started.
About that time Tito was supposed to visit Kragujevac but hours before his arrival shots were heard in several places which sent the security forces into overdrive and Tito never turned up. In fact for all the time Tito was President he never visited that city for fear of assassination.

Now Spain? He has died at least half dozen times in that many countries, and every time he did it, there were witnesses AND documents to prove the sad fact. There were several people who killed him as well, again in different places at different times. Every time there was some secret agent who stole his identity afterwards, successfully continuing on the same path. That would probably explain tons of legitimate/illegitimate spouses he has. After all, we cannot be sure he is really dead this time.

the slovenian national tito, died in spain, before the partizan movement ever materialized. the german agent by the name of walter weiss took josip broz's identity and came back to yugoslavia.
