Teen in coma after club brawl

Unfortunately things like this happen in Britain all of the time. Of course everything must be done to avoid such violence, but it's not specific to Belgrade.

This is the kind of violence that is creeping into society. In quite a few of the cases in can be attributed to excessive drink or drugs. Not so long ago, when you had to settle a disagreement, yourself and the other bloke went outside the pub and settled it with your fists there and then.

Now there are weapons involved and in cases mass brawls.

I hope the poor guy recovers.

This is very sad. Senjak used to be a place where (fallen) artisians and the like were gathered. You can still see many lovely old houses in the area that have fallen into disrepair as owners have become hard up.
However, 'new' money and 'businessmen' have moved in to the area of late and I expect these are the sons and daughters of these types.

I have to say Zmaj that showing children violence through beatings from an early age does not discourage them from showing violence to their own peer group. If anything the opposite is true. You are right bganon and it is unfortunately a very sad reality that we face on a daily basis in Switzerland, with the violence getting more brutal than ever!
We have a ban on selling violent games to less than 18 years old teens, then the parents go and buy it, it says all!

I have to say Zmaj that showing children violence through beatings from an early age does not discourage them from showing violence to their own peer group. If anything the opposite is true. I would not at all be surprised if a few of the kids involved have been exposed to violence of some type and are copying it.

I'm telling this in the name and interest of all those kids, "this" one or "that" one.

I'm definitely sure we (two of us) were grown in totally different environments with a same different behaviour.. I'll not say that I was beaten- NO! But my friends they "ate" it a bit here and there from the parents were "light" and not so bad like the rest of us.

We've been literary gang in our 16- 17-ies numbering 25- 30 teens beating anyone- anywhere EVEN in the middle of Police station.. We were very compact and strong group (Cikago u Zajecaru/Revija92, Zolja sa krivicnom zaokom/Revija 92 etc, etc.) coming to the point to even move to Belgrade later after we threat the life of Goran Vukovic- we gave Him "time line" publicly, that time. I know EVERYTHING about kids "able to do it" and I never said that all kids should be beaten. Of course not.

I was never beaten and I should have been beaten because in spite (and luckily)I gave so much for my country those times.., I spend 8 years in prison because of my "free flash" behaviour.

bganon, I'm coming from so liberal family that weapons "were parked" near the Soup plate at lunch time and I know that this was possible "to treat".

SOLUTION 1= THE FAMILY
SOLUTION 2= PRISON or Center for re-education.

Unfortunately most of the aggressive kids have the solution 2.

I'd like to protect those weaker kids from those you do not know so well.

I do not say "the beaten" once grown in better people than rest of us BUT they have never been able to make big damage or to go more than few months in prison.

You'll always have some bad boys but "until the line".

To convince YOU what?! Am I adopting your child here?! This kid suffer head trauma, so many of those had a brain injuries, "moved" kidneys or lost all front teeth..., if they're lucky, sometimes. ALL OVER THE BELGRADE- EVERYDAY!!

This is typical growing kids last 50-60 years in Serbia. I'm amazed how many successful people run out from Holocaust or the worst living conditions.. How many GREAT people actually suffered in childhood walking tens of kilometers to school and working several hours a day to pay it. How the Hell we went wrong in "PERFECT" living conditions? I had TON of books in MY ROOM, TIME and LATEST EDUCATIONAL METHODS available that time.., even "extra professor" for "lost"- but what it was actually missing??

This article is obviously telling about kids finished in hospital and one was in COMA! Don't you consider that educational part is lost somewhere. Who's sending this kid in coma?! Who's that kid?

Do you know what's the amount of hate and energy to send someone to coma? Alcohol is NOT excuse to me.., and I would have this kid in order in a week holding control until the "safe" age considering Him "able" all the time. Because, I would be responsible parent without "feel of rights" over other families and their kids..

I would not "loose" that kid in a first place and I would not come in this position (to re-educate) as a father, that's sure. We unified our week- small bodies in a structure aimed to faster achieve powers over people and institutions that time. This was not a special plan- this was our "natural" development in unorganized Society and "busy" families. There were SO MANY opportunities to stop that. I know, because I was thinking of that..., even that time..
Actually, all started in our 13-th about and a lives have started to vanish from someones 18-th. This was plenty of time for the family and Society to react. I wouldn't say it would be easy- NOT AT ALL. It would be barrage of measures and "warlike" situation but I'm pretty sure if I was able to "go back" as one of the parents that I would save "my kid" at least.., from the prison or lethal "destiny".. Don't think I would not try to save ALL the others if possible.

Yes nobody stopped you (those kids), of course they did not. The grown ups had formed its own gangs - illegal militia's to fight in war. That was your example and that was your fate. Gangsters, footballers, pop stars, violence - it all came together.

DOCTOR works for pharmaceutical companies (most common and worldwide) limiting/forcing his patients to a specific medicals. Negative result: not proper therapy, life shortening and it is lethal.. He's almost forcibly keeping wealthy patients "in circle" of His friends "specialists". "Why should "they" take it while we can do it". (just a few "LEGAL" abuses/crimes)

BUSINESS: most flexible and most dangerous profession to the population while it can affect masses. "He's knowingly making lesser attention on difference between Formalin and Formaldehyde (life shortening and lethal) in the foods preservation in the interest of expiry date and guaranteed amount of profit" or "He's knowingly choosing product contain Dioxin (life shortening and lethal) in "border levels" over the product without Dioxin in interest of almost double profit" or "Knowingly importing defect products (possibly paints, building materials or agricultural fertilizers "legal" to Serbian Law (not yet detectable or regulated) which can be toxic, cancerogene or bio-hazard ones. or "He's still proposing loan to the interested family while, as economist, knows that this will bring them in "no way back" position." (just a few)

LAWYER: He WILL find the address of a witness, He WILL give you a clue of "black hole" while he knows "you'll rape - again" and he WILL "switch off" defense in a crucial moment being payed double.. (just a few)

In just a few cases you're manipulating lives of a single person up to the masses. Isn't that equal to something else. Kid "like this" or "kid like that"??

THE FAMILY, as I said is the most important solution. Unfortunately I still do not have child despite married. I just know that I'd never come in position to beat that kid while I'm delaying "all thing" to the period of my life (hope soon- I'm 42) I'll have TIME for it and this will be "my kid" from the day A until it grows in a formed person. ABOUT IGNORANCE AND COWARDS:

The thrown me out from a school, it was the fourth one and as I "realize soon" - the last one in town.. TRAGEDY! Parents, psychologists, family and family friends- for a days! Hours and hours of interrogations, advices, explanations and ALL "diplomatic" means! I was "occupied" literary 24 hours a day! Or..,I DIDN'T!!

The only solution- nearby village school, by bus.

Soon as I opened the door (in split of a second) I realized "who's the "Head" and his aides... I was surprised by those kids SIZE - they've been just double sized, red chicks - next year candidates for JAWA 350 or MZ 250. And I passed trough them literary "catching" them on surprise and "piss on my tree"- I put the Marlboro in men sized skeleton's mouth breaking the silence totally (and breaking some hearts, also). The class got crazy (except me and "him") and they stopped when teacher jumped in. She introduced me and told "her lie" about me and when she asked about skeleton and asked me to remove the Marlboro I said we should consult the Director, first! The silence was broken again and they laugh so much that I saw her (teacher) confused...

Anyway, HE said to me whispering: "Do you think the Director will help you at all circumstances??" and I was ready to tell him: "I don't know we'll see on a break in 15 minutes.."

He was coming behind me and his smile was pure ACID, he put the shade over me.., he was much bigger that on the chair!

I started to "pump" Him on the doorstep targeting only the head- he felt down soon and I saw his eyebrow felt over the eye, also..

They called him PUMA after because I took his white shoes and "cleaned" his face.

No, if a gun was parked next to your soup bowl, the message you learned from an early age is that weapons are completely normal and only violence can come from those weapons. Fair enough if the weapons were there to hunt animals, but that is not the story you are suggesting.

Far better to give kids an education, to teach them about people to be smart, not to believe certain fairy tales and to be somebody who has respect for others and is respected by others - not respected because the person has a weapon or a gang following him.

However, as the individuals- later.., and founding ourselves in different environments it was all that feeling of "hot knife in the butter.." I'd like that we were MORE cowards, I'd really like that.. But I do not remember we left the place for that. I think we close every visible, tinny "excuse hole" for that. EVERYDAY it was about to prove yourself somehow. As you say- "to impress" and we didn't write poems each one. Do you really think that the Gangs consists of weak kids?

Am I suggest, again, to "beat the Hell out" of a week kids?

I'd like to see you just a little bit as a parent of some kid like that.., just because I'm curious and I'd really like to see a better method if possible.

But have in mind that "lost" control cannot be regain by quitting jobs and businesses to stay with kid and that those families are not ready to do that, mostly.

ZMAJ of course those kids are feel weak on their own, even more weak after they have been in a group when they feel so powerful to say beat up a father in a bus who is defending his child with him on the way to a football match.

How can you suggest one is anything but a coward to do this. Would any of those kids try something like that if they were alone? They are so obsessed with impressing each other there IS nothing else.

Yes nobody stopped you (those kids), of course they did not. The grown ups had formed its own gangs - illegal militia's to fight in war. That was your example and that was your fate. Gangsters, footballers, pop stars, violence - it all came together.

How do you beat that out of somebody, tell me please! When society / actions of family is one thing and the hyprocrite father is telling the kid something else.

And no the government was not going to stop you, it was going to USE you. To USE you to support it, as a rent a crowd against the opposition, to use you in the government's wars.

You won't see me as parent of a kid like that, trust me. As Legija learned, even if in the past one could make it in life by being a thug, today it has all become legalised. In the best case scenario my kid becomes a doctor, a lawyer (morally disgusting profession but mostly they can sleep at night) or if possible a 'normal' businessman.

You talk (all the time) about "sleeping after" and I'll tell you that the only days (in my life) I couldn't close my eyes are those after I went in the profession you have option for your kid.. Thugs were fighting opposition which reveal they're thugs after they won elections in cooperation with the other thugs. Most "legal" thugs are balancing other thugs by forcing them legal or illegal. Can you tell me the period in 4000 years back- this was not THE SAME?

DOCTOR works for pharmaceutical companies (most common and worldwide) limiting/forcing his patients to a specific medicals. Negative result: not proper therapy, life shortening and it is lethal.. He's almost forcibly keeping wealthy patients "in circle" of His friends "specialists". "Why should "they" take it while we can do it". (just a few "LEGAL" abuses/crimes)

BUSINESS: most flexible and most dangerous profession to the population while it can affect masses. "He's knowingly making lesser attention on difference between Formalin and Formaldehyde (life shortening and lethal) in the foods preservation in the interest of expiry date and guaranteed amount of profit" or "He's knowingly choosing product contain Dioxin (life shortening and lethal) in "border levels" over the product without Dioxin in interest of almost double profit" or "Knowingly importing defect products (possibly paints, building materials or agricultural fertilizers "legal" to Serbian Law (not yet detectable or regulated) which can be toxic, cancerogene or bio-hazard ones. or "He's still proposing loan to the interested family while, as economist, knows that this will bring them in "no way back" position." (just a few)

LAWYER: He WILL find the address of a witness, He WILL give you a clue of "black hole" while he knows "you'll rape - again" and he WILL "switch off" defense in a crucial moment being payed double.. (just a few)

In just a few cases you're manipulating lives of a single person up to the masses. Isn't that equal to something else. Kid "like this" or "kid like that"??

THE FAMILY, as I said is the most important solution. Unfortunately I still do not have child despite married. I just know that I'd never come in position to beat that kid while I'm delaying "all thing" to the period of my life (hope soon- I'm 42) I'll have TIME for it and this will be "my kid" from the day A until it grows in a formed person. Not beaten! (I hope)

ABOUT IGNORANCE AND COWARDS:

The thrown me out from a school, it was the fourth one and as I "realize soon" - the last one in town.. TRAGEDY! Parents, psychologists, family and family friends- for a days! Hours and hours of interrogations, advices, explanations and ALL "diplomatic" means! I was "occupied" literary 24 hours a day! Or..,I DIDN'T!!

The only solution- nearby village school, by bus.

This was the only my concern.. How, HOW I'll tell this to my company? By bus?!
MY LIFE BECOME HELL!!

This was the rare opportunity I gave to my friends then, to tease me.

However, the School Director was my family "man" and everyone suddenly learn about him, including me.

I survived the bus and I even used it to make my "new school" clothes dirty and my hear also..

I was exactly on time and I easy found my class- by "parked" huge number of shoes a front of the door(saw that first time in my life). Soon as I opened the door (in split of a second) I realized "who's the "Head" and his aides... I was surprised by those kids SIZE - they've been just double sized, red chicks - next year candidates for JAWA 350 or MZ 250. And I passed trough them literary "catching" them on surprise and "piss on my tree"- I put the Marlboro in men sized skeleton's mouth breaking the silence totally (and breaking some hearts, also). The class got crazy (except me and "him") and they stopped when teacher jumped in. She introduced me and told "her lie" about me and when she asked about skeleton and asked me to remove the Marlboro I said we should consult the Director, first! The silence was broken again and they laugh so much that I saw her (teacher) confused...

Anyway, HE said to me whispering: "Do you think the Director will help you at all circumstances??" and I was ready to tell him: "I don't know we'll see on a break in 15 minutes.."

He was coming behind me and his smile was pure ACID, he put the shade over me.., he was much bigger that on the chair!

I started to "pump" Him on the doorstep targeting only the head- he felt down soon and I saw his eyebrow felt over the eye, also..

They called him PUMA after because I took his white shoes and "cleaned" his face.

I saw him few years later REALLY on JAWA 350!! (with a lot of stickers on it) I told him that He made mistake not buying second hand Suzuki Katana.. He was still PUMA!

You would now expect me to tell you that I was brave...NO! I was afraid, but I was afraid to come back to my friends with "empty hands". That's all.

This is how we Serbs grow, actually. Traditionally! Now days, UNFORTUNATELY, it doesn't "stay on fists" like in "good old times". My heart is bleeding for those kids.

The society starting from THE PARENTS M U S T do something about it and put the ultimate borders!
