kufr,

in your logic, so Milosevic is guilty of the NATO bombing in Serbia because he didn't want to withdraw troops from Kosovo... Ah, yes, Hiroito is also guilty from the american nuclear bombing in Nagasaki and Hiroshima; Taleban is guilty of USA bombing civilians and if some thug come tomorrow by your door and say "go away or face the consequences", you'll be guilty if he kills your family.

get a life.

Who cares what the world thinks. You can authenticate my voice if you like but Serbs have carved out their territory and we will get some of the other parts back soon, but do not think for a moment that we want everything. There has to be sufficient land for Croats, Bosniaks Slovenes and Macedonians. They have their lands and they can show the world how they have made a success on their own ,ha,ha,ha. Croatia is already stuffed – even their new President said so much after taking office.

'...Izetbegović was "encouraged" from abroad to not sign the deal, by countries that thought they knew what was best...' that'll be Germany - showing that they have the capacity to cause turmoil yet again !

Kufr,

While the Cutileiro plan may have closely resembled the Dayton Agreement, bear in mind that the Dayton Agreement was signed after 4 years of bloody conflict and crippling sanctions leveled against rump Yugoslavia. Milosevic had been brought to his knees and forced to abandon his presumed territorial pretensions in Croatia and Bosnia, and for their part, the Muslims were essentially getting the best thing available to them in 1995. So with all due respect, I don't think the two options are comparable.

The question is, how sincere was Karadzic in his effort to keep BiH intact, albeit with a new Serbian entity? It is said that the Muslims signed up to the Contact Group Plan in 1994 knowing that the Serbs would reject it. Was the Cutileiro proposal feasible? How would the Serb entity have been formed? Would large numbers of the three constituent nations have been forced to relocate? Were the territorial claims realistic?

And what about that Karadjordjevo meeting between Milosevic and Tudjman in March 1991? Funny how the Croats abandoned their alliance with the Muslims after only 6 months and started evicted them from villages in Western Hercegovina and Central Bosnia.

I think Karadzic will have a hard time demonstrating that the Serbs were serious about pursuing a peaceful settlement in BiH. There seemed to be a lot of advance planning for the conflicts in Croatia and Bosnian eminating from Belgrade. Just listen to all those phone calls between Milosevic, Karadzic, Stanisic and Babic from 1991. Oh, but I forgot, we still have to authenticate the voices.

Nenad, Karadzic signed the Cutliero plan, as did his Croat counterpart. Izetbegovic would have signed it too but he withdrew his signature for some strange reason. That plan was in essence the same as the Dayton agreement years later, with the difference that the Cutliero plan gave the bosniaks *more* territory than the Dayton agreement did. So Izetbegovics redrawal of his signature resulted not only in thousands of killed civilians from all sides, but also in loss of territory for his own people. If only one person should be picked to blame for the war there is no doubt it would be Izetbegovic. Karadzic is right to point this out in the trial.
