Nadeem,

For certain people almost everything is simplified to that unfortunate Serbo-Albanian question, even if it is about Chile or Moon.

This is bizarre, but this is what happens over and over. Once you or someone with similar name ever took the stance in that conflict - there will be always people from the opposing site who will give you poor comments in completely unrelated topic much later on.

It is enough even to have a name where a possible ethnic bias can be guessed from.
My rough guess is, you collected the negatives from "our" camp merely because the way your name does sound - and if that is the case I apologize for our trolls.

Otherwise I, too tried to guess your background from your name and in the case you are familiar with the conflict on the Indian continent - here we have an other one, pretty similar. If you are sure, Pakistanians don't like that work I won't use it than - but I did see many times they called them self that way jokingly.

What on earth are you talking about? What does your comments with regards to Albanians,Indians,Pakistanis & Serbs have to do with events in Chile? By the way you're not supposed to type 'Paki' all because some or many Pakistanis are offended by that term. However I will agree that it's possible that someone's who's not too familiar with English may have misconstrued my first comment which may explain why I received poor ratings.

I do not know, what side of that virtual Serbo-Albanian fence did you take usually. Nadeem is a common name in Urdu language, you are probably either from India or Paki, so it can be both. Indians usually take the Serbian, Pakis the Albanian side but not 100% necessarily.

This flea circus is unfortunately very similar to the one you are familiar with (if you are Paki or Indian). If you ever expressed your political opinion favoring one site - there will be always some eTroll from the other who will remember what you said and strike back later, even if all you say is "the skies are blue". That strike is in form of "negative" comment score. Do not think it is worth to take it seriously.

The most bizarre part of it is if you say somewhat which actually is in defense of the other site - the trolls from that site will give negatives.

This is one of the reasons I am not in favor of this kind of feedback - but almost all news channels in the world use it, it increases the readerships and "clicks".

BTW: on numerous occasions it was interesting to observe two people were caught in a fierce debate - but the scores did stay at the "zero" level. Usually such debates are either out of "Serbia-Albania" scope or if not than simply just way to long to understand. I also suspect, many who give the scores are not in the best command of the language.

If a local store or restauraunt is collecting money for Chileans who are devastated by the earthquake than I'd be happy to donate some money. In fact just today I saw on a Canadian news network that Chile would like some assistance from Canada(my country).
