Opposition DSS wants Serbian senior officials to tell French FM Bernard Kouchner that Serbia will only join the EU with Kosovo as its inalienable part.
Even if DSS is euroskeptic and against euro-integration, what would be wrong with that? It would be their opinion and thus should be respected.
Besides they wouldn't be the first political party in Europe to be so (including countries already part of the EU). It seems to me that any euroskeptic party is immedietly labaled a traitor or unfit to govern the country which shows the European Union's undemocratic characteristics.
Their message to the visiting French FM should be echoed by the governing coalition as well. Either Serbia joins as a whole or not at all.
Kostunica is a FAILED former prime minister and now a FAILED polititian. He knows there is not a single Serb polititian whome can return Kosovo/a under Serbian sovereignity. IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. He is very keen for political power and will put the blame to any political predecessor regarding Kosova/o. That is part of the Serbian political history.
I agree to accession of serbia (of course with kosovo), but does this mean, we would have all the Albanians too ?!? Travelling freely through Europe ?!?
As for EU membership I don't think Serbia will enter for a long time if ever. And if Kosovo ever becomes independent without Serbia's permission then it will also never eneter the Eu either as EU rules on accession state that each and every member in the EU must vote to allow a country entry. So it looks like countries in either the "serb camp" or the "albanian kosovo camp" will block each others entry.
Why This DSS can't speak clearly..they don't want Serbia in EU !! Eu has recognized Kosovo in the percentage of 22/27 so if Serbia doesn't the accession will be a dream or at least a "long" journey...
I think this guy(kostunica) would make many serbian dreams come true...like NEVER join the EU, but allliance with Russia & Bellorussia.
Kostunica is far-sighted as it wants to return to his roots all the way to Carpathians mountains. ALbanians cen help on that, especially on logistics...
