the website wasn't hacked, Sejdui is just telling how things really are, Kosovo is Serbia. Congratulations Sejdui for stating concrete facts!

Well I guess thats one way of reminding the citizens what country they live in :) The Serbian symbols shouldn't look foreign at all since after all Kosovo is Serbia. right?

before you rant about the whole Milosevic era, first read the artcile and you will see that it was "hacked" not stated by Sedju. Regardless, Kosovo is Serbia is probably the only truth being stated on the website. :)

Vandalism is not very funny tough but it's funny to read how silly people can be.
As said about the idiots who stoned a Serb house yesterday: the time of Robin Hood and Kraljevic Marko is gone. In 2010 this is called "hooliganism".

Luckily not much damage was done. Just workers of probably an other Serbian (or whatever, maybe Kosovo Albanian, maybe Russian - who knows?) consultant company who built the site enumerate verbally the private parts of the perpetrators and their mom.

Because they probably have to work extra to restore the web site and can't see their wife / gf for an other night. What a royal fun it is for the site administrator! This is just wasted energy and Sejdiu is the last who really cares. Besides, he is among the few who are relatively clean, so not the best target.

Much better idea is to make an IT product which would make K-Albanians really jealous and wanting them to buy it. Like a clever application for Symbian or iPhone. And unlike such silliness even money can be made.

Or how about making a good guidebook of KosMet Serbian cultural heritage and put it on Symbian or iPhone, with pictures? More patriotic than this crap.

No offense - but ever been with your colleagues after work in a small restaurant or with your peers in kafana?

This is fun to do and usually not expensive. There you can learn that people like teasing each other while eating/drinking and it is never was intent as offense. Just tease them back and don't make a huge deal out of it. If you aren't sure because of the language - better ask directly than make a deal out of it.

From what I understand, this was just a little teasing. If I am you I would just tell the teaser that girls of former YU look much better than Swiss. No matter do they support Serbia or Kosovo: he is better of in your area than in Switzerland.

And speaking about that - if anyone from your area plans to immigrate to USA: never do it alone. No wonder, streets of every bigger city in East Europe are full of unfortunate lonely American men. If you did not notice them in Pristina (only blind can't!) than look at Belgrade or Skopje. Somewhat is broken in America terribly...

The only sites I would celebrate if they are taken down are the "Stormfront", "88", "kavkaz" and such. As much as I do not agree with the idea of UDI personally, that is no more as personal political opinion. For instance I usually (bot not necessarily) vote for "blue" - but if someone vandalizes the web site of "reds" that is no fun.

Politics has nothing to do with private life or work. Keep it well separated. Here the perpetrators clearly crossed the line. If yesterday the stone throwers received the "thumbs down" verdict, today did the hackers.

Finally: the golden rule of hacker was violated: "thou never shall destroy". Mid-80s I was a code breaker. While braking the copy protections (anyone remembers "Prolock" or "Superlock" dBase-III was protected with?) it was THE rule to remove only the disruptive parts of the copy protection and restore the application back to it's "virgin" state. If "improvisations" had to be made - than only to the absolute minimum.

Much later I worked on the opposite - writing copy protection mechanisms. Same rule applied: if illegal copy detected, exit elegantly, not touching anything else. For the real hacker the destruction is the big taboo. Otherwise he is not "hacker" but "cracker" - basically a criminal.

This is the ethic code working on computers. For instance, the work of administrators should not disturb the users. Or device drivers should touch ONLY the devices they should work with, not everything at will.
