Two million people have been affected by the massive earthquake that struck central Chile on Saturday, President Michelle Bachelet has said.

At least they can relax next 50 to 300 years. Nazca Plate, as seen in last 500 years produced Megathrust earthquakes at this range and this was obviously a Megathrust one. They'll have smaller as usual. The earthquakes are "unpredictable" but Nazca was often followed by Pacific plate's major earthquakes in next years up to decades. So "thing goes elsewhere" for "a while" to make it's "cycle", as usual.
