PODGORICA -- Montenegrin PM Milo Đukanović says that his country recognized Kosovo “as Serbia's true friend”.

Now you are just insulting our intelligence.

"You can deny the national aspiration of a people to unite for decades and even centuries but in the end the people's will will win out."
(Zoti)

-- Well you see it's not really living in denial, nor is it laughing at the "will of the people" or whatever you want to call it. It's basically looking at history and realizing that other attempts at creating a Greater "X" have all failed.

And if the international community has halted attempts at establishing Greater Bulgaria, Greater Greece, Greater Germany, Greater Croatia, and Greater Serbia, what gives you any idea the civilized world has even the slightest intention of allowing a Greater Albania?

I'm just sayin'.....

"And if Albanians treat Serbs like they did in 2004?"
(mathew)

I believe that March 2004 should have not happened and I condemn it with my whole mind and heart, but, from 17 people killed during these violent protest 11 were Albanians, 5 unidentified and 1 roma, 1 Serb. Thus, you can't compare the issues.

"Mirub, just out of curiosity, what do you think the death toll in Kosovo was BEFORE the NATO bombing?"
(mathew)

If you're implying that most of the Albanians were killed by NATO; you must be calling the milk "Mleko".

"Actually we don’t really see a difference between Serbs, Montenegrins, Bosnian-Serbs etc. You’re the one making statements like we were all different. That’s what’s so comical."
(Matthew, 25 February 2010 17:56)

Mathew, I was merely agreeing with you and arguing with Another Canadian Serb who said:
"Mirub,
...now i clearly see that you don't know that Milosevic and Karadzic are truly ethnic Montenegrins and are not Serbs.
Tell me Mirub, why is Serbia being held ransom for Montenegrin citizens so called wrong doings...
In addition, i want you to know the Mladic is Bosnian." [look for the posting below] and this is truly "comical."

You asked;
"Is one Albanian life really worth 500 or 1,000 African lives to you?"

If that notion is rooted in your mind than it is your prorogative. I never looked at it that way nor I ever will. Trust me you picked a wrong straw.

Mirub Jager

pre 14 godina

Another Canadian Serb, you make this too easy.

Mirub,
"All North Amercians know the meaning of "timbuctoo".
Google it!"

I did and realized you meant TIMBUKTU. One true North American that you are.

"Secondly, i have been to Kosovo and all of Serbia numerous times."

When was your last time in Kosovo is the key question. 10 years ago, thus you don't know reality on the ground. Talk about an astronaut!?

"Lastly, what kind of Western Court takes 6 years to try and unsuccessfully convict Milosevic and Seselj."

A court that extends the opportunity to defend yourself until proven otherwise. Unlike the Iraqi kind of court which executes people without due process.

"Wasn't Saddam's trial only 282 days and then he was executed."

According to your principles Seselj should be executed since he passed the 282 days (your) deadline.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that Milosevic and Seselj are innocent"

I agree, but one needs a just court to do that.

Matthew

Sam, I AM WRITING TO YOU IN AMERICAN – DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Nice article, being Montenegrin myself with a Bosnian Serb wife, I’ll have no end to the fun of letting her know that what she’s speaking is actually Montenegrin and NOT Serb since she says “mlijeko” and not mleko.

Milo belongs in the waste bin of history. Njegos he aint!

“If Montenegro treats Albanians there as Serbia did in Kosovo, by all means they deserve protection and 'divorce’ (Mirub Jager, 24 February 2010 16:32)”

And if Albanians treat Serbs like they did in 2004 or Croatians treat Serbs like they did in 1995 or 1941?

Oh yeah, one rule for those who are Orthodox and another for everyone else eh Mirub?

Mirub, just out of curiosity, what do you think the death toll in Kosovo was BEFORE the NATO bombing?

Also, do you think its morally right for NATO to completely ignore the Genocide of Millions in Africa at the exact same time they are mobilizing for war in Kosovo over the deaths of just 2,000 people, mostly guerilla fighters?

Is one Albanian life really worth 500 or 1,000 African lives to you?

“According to your "principles" once these "backboned Serbs" get dis-credited then they will be Bosnians, too. (Mirub Jager, 25 February 2010 16:30)”

Actually we don’t really see a difference between Serbs, Montenegrins, Bosnian-Serbs etc. You’re the one making statements like we were all different. That’s what’s so comical.

Timbucto? Is that a Serb territory?
As if a Canadian would know more about Balkans.
All I'm saying is that your "sudden non-serb" former leaders were applauded on their campaigns as true Serbs, just as you consider Dodic and some others consider Tadic. According to your "principles" once these "backboned Serbs" get dis-credited then they will be Bosnians, too.

Additionaly, Mr. Seselj is another Serb who is next to be revealed that actually is from your place called "timbucto".

You may inform us in Europe about Winter Olympics some inside info that we are not aware but on Balkans, Europa's doorstep, please...

(Mike, 24 February 2010)

It's very amusing seeing the Serbs take cheap shots at PRN's strategy. I can see the nervousness.

If you asked thess same Serbs ten years if Kosova would ever become independent they'd bet their last dollar that it wouldn't yet today there's a different reality.

I'm not saying Janina will ever become Albanian again but half of Macedonia is definitely within the realm of possibility. I'll take 3 of the 4 Albanian vilayets in a "new Albania" any day.

You guys are looking at the short term but we're thinking long-term. We got screwed once by the Ottomans and the Europeans, we are not going to repeat the same mistake again.

You can deny the national aspiration of a people to unite for decades and even centuries but in the end the people's will will win out.

Albanians women sacrifice a lot to raise their children to be proud and hard working citizens not drug dealers. If you read the Serbian newspapers you would know by now that Serbia is infested by Mega drug cartels that import tons of narcotics from South America and sell it in EU. Tell me Mirub, why is Serbia being held ransom for Montenegrin citizens so called wrong doings. Why was Montenegro allowed to separate from Yugoslavia.

In addition, i want you to know the Mladic is Bosnian. Have you ever hear of Bosnia and Hercegovina.

I don't know what can of international organization you represent in Serbia, but you better start to google some ex Yugoslavian history.

You are always in such a hurry to berate Serbs. Clearly you are not qualified to make a just statement about anything in the Balkans.

You must be blogging from timbucto and not Serbia's province of Kosovo.

Djukanovic statement is a denial of the founding nations of Raska and Gora, Serbia and Montenegro, Kosovo and Metohija. Part of Metohija still exists in the current border of Montenegro. The Denial of Methohija is a denial of the nationality of Serbs and Montenegrins.

This is what your president Tadic sais today:
"values will be very important in the total transformation of our society into a civil society, and a condemnation of one horrible crime that became a symbol to the world for casualties in the war of the 1990s, and will be a distancing from the crime which was claimed to be done in the name of the Serb people."

I have to copy and paste this to emphasize my argument made below:
“This step up in values [Srebrenica Resolution] will be very important in the total transformation of our society into a civil society, and a condemnation of one horrible crime that became a symbol to the world for casualties in the war of the 1990s, and will be a distancing from the crime which was claimed to be done in the name of the Serb people. Serbia is improving its image and regional credibility with this act,” Tadić said.

Responses such as Tadic does not represent Serbs are not valid for he is your elected President and a very good choice may I add.

If Montenegro treats Albanians there as Serbia did in Kosovo, by all means they deserve protection and 'divorce'. Yeah Djukanovic is a great friend to Serbia. He even changed Montenegro's language from Serbian to the 'Montenegran language'. This being despite the fact that when the BBC asked a woman promoting the Montenegran language to find a word different in Montenegran to Serbian it took her about 5 minutes to do so. PRN - The Eu talks a lot about integrating the Balkans, but they also talk a lot about integrating Turkey, but when push comes to shove they deny Turkey EU membership. Any Albanian "state", i.e. Abania, "Kosova" + any future pseudo albo states will similarly be denied EU membership for two reasons. 1) you're muslims and the EU is a Christian club. There is no way that the Vatican will allow you in. 2) you're unreliable. If by some miracle al qaedo tomorrow becames the worlds only superpower you'dbe like lapdogs beging to join them. that's the nature of albanian politics - opportunistic and devious.

no albanian state/peoples are EVER going to join Europe along wih BiH and Turkey. they'll throw you scraps, but never allow you in. NATO ally - yes, EU inclusion - NO. you're good as cannon fodder but nothing else.

The Serbian negations approach to her own problems is known. We are dirty but lets through some mud on others as well. It's like someone really cares about their judgment but they still do judge even that everyone knows that they are deeply biased and are for calming their own dirty conscious.

I agree, but one needs a just court to do that.

very busy agenda you have there PRN. Little bit unrealistic if you ask me, because no Albanian political force that counts, from anywhere in the Balkans where Albanians live, supports that agenda as far as I know.

If you can't extend your Lebensraum to Gracanica, how are you going to reach Ioannina?
(Mike, 24 February 2010 17:50)

By encouraging efficient production of more starships I did mention before.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that Milosevic and Seselj are innocent, unless of course Mirub you are an astronaut
