Actually we have corruption, because governments do not have wotrking majorities.

And politicians and parties like Velja Ilic's New Serbia, Dinkic's G17 Plus, SPS partner Palmas United Serbia and the pensioners, and the Hungarians exploit this. Parties that leech themselves onto larger parties like parasites have this.

Face it every government we've had has been unstable. The most corrupt politicians are from these minor parties and when ever Tadic or anyone else tries to deal with this they threaten to topple the government.

The opposition is no better. But chances are if DS was the opposition it would be doing the same thing these guys are.

More people should realise that one of the reasons Serbian politics is both corrupt and vulnerable toforeign influence is that parties are unable to fight repeated election campaigns from funds raised by their own membership and therefore have to look for finance in darker places. So long as a government has a working majority, it is both pointless and irresponsible for the opposition to demand fresh elections purely to make political capital. Ideally, elections should be held every four years to give the country some much needed political stability.
