To be perfectly honest with you, ALL of the desecrated churches of Kosovo should REOPEN. I give credit to all those who assist in the reopening of desecrated Kosovo churches. God bless them.

Any religious individual/group/society should NEVER deal with politics or make political activities otherwise it will treated like any other polititical group/party. That is my main concern about some Serbian "priests".

Are you mentally challenged?? how can you possibly try to justify the destruction of a holy site? fair enough if you have your own opinion towards religion; however do you have so little respect towards other individuals views...

I believe in the harmony between religions and Albania is a classic country where people are very tolerant when it comes to religion. Unfortunaly in Serbia the religion has been used by government big time. To me religious fantatics/fundamentalists can be Moslems, Catholics, Orthodox, Jewish any kind. I hope you understand where I am coming from.

=======================

I have yet to see you critisize any other religion apart from Serbian Orthodox.
Is there a reason why you always support the Muslims here or is it just that Muslims have done NOTHING wrong and therefore there is nothing to critisize them about?
If you really mean what you say then let's see you condemn some actions by your brothers and not always find a way to make it Serbia's fault or Serbs have done it themselves. Lt's hear the B side.

‘The reconstruction was organized by the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the Kosovo government, the Eparchy, and others’

It’s more like Council of Europe, the European Commission, Eparchy and others. The so called ‘Kosovo government’ doesn’t have two cents in its pocket to rub together if not provided with money from the EU.

Michael,

If you want to know my thoughts, I am a very happy single minded man who is very cautious towards any religion. I make my opinion on an individual purely by its actions/deeds and not how that individual looks like, what he is wearing. On that note the Vatican never harbored paramilitary and war materials. If they did they would have been prime targets in any conflict too.

Better read up on your history. Vatican harboured many war criminals from WW2 and assisted with safe passage to Argentina when it became too risky to hold them there any longer.
Croaitan war criminals were all given safe asylum in the Vatican and that is a fact. You cannot change history even though you disagree with it.

The churches have been burned down because they were not neutral when it comes to politics. Burning down a serbian ortodox church and burning down serbian goverment buildings in Kosovo is the same because the church worked as an political item. The serbian church never complained to the serbian goverment when albanians in Kosovo were driven out of their homes by serbian military forces. (Demi, 21 February 2010 15:51)

Do you have any decency? There were no Serbian paramilitary groups launching attacks from Serbian Orthodox Churches?

If fact, the Decani Orthodox Church housed many Albanian refugees; in fact a Serbian paramilitary group demanded to release the Albanians and they refused at great peril to their lives.

Its high time that Albanian moderates start gaining a voice and muzzle KLA extremists and voices coming from ill informed people such as yourself. Where is Rugova when you need him.

"Burning down a serbian ortodox church and burning down serbian goverment buildings in Kosovo is the same because the church worked as an political item." (Demi)

-- So I guess by your own logic it was perfectly acceptible and legitimate for Milosevic's forces to not only destroy all parallel Albanian institutions up to and including 1999, but all other Albanian socio-cultural institutions, and even private residences, because, as we've been hearing constantly on this site, all were united in one political goal of independence. Those thousands of refugees that fled, did so because they were just as guilty, right? I mean if you're going to condone a scorched earth policy, the other side can use it as well, right? I guess you also condone the destruction of mosques in Bosnia and Catholic churches in Croatia too due to their "political" connections.

Mike

Perhaps if the Kosovo Albanian leadership relented on its incessant drive to control the Serbian communities by any means necessary, and allowed formal political institutions from Belgrade to function properly, other organizations such as the Serbian Orthodox Church could cease any "political" role as some Albanians here like to think they do, and return to being simply a spritual and cultural organization. I think Belgrade's presence in Serb municipalities are worth the price of putting EA's mind at rest.

I'm glad to see that the world is finaly waking up! This documentary also shows how corrupt the K-albanian leadership in Kosovo is. Don't take my word for it. Watch the documentary and listen to brave Albanians and how they are standing up to warcriminals like Thaci and Ramush Haradinaj, the very people elected for office.

But is good to know that Kosovo goverment is being a factor on restoring this churches. Kosovo goverment is allways a factor of stability in the region and Kosovo. I only hope that the chuch leaders take another approach when it comes to Kosovo and albanians.

"If you feel that way then by "all means, to go the Vatican and destroy it completely because the Pope certainly makes politics his business. Peggy"

The Vatican does not pretend to be a Republic but a Theocracy, just like Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Change your government type and be led by the corrupt church if you want, but remember they have 100% employment and no taxes. They are not ordinary leaders, just sad old men that bless young generations to fight for them.
