Leonida,
i am tired of this same old rotten and overplayed to death rhetoric.
I am much more Greek than many *real* greeks around.
As for yourself, your whole set of ideas is one contradiction.
Allow me to differ (and to love Greece in a more constructive way than repeating old rotten british propaganda).
Pseudo-nationalism is not for clever people (like me).

i know many of my countrymen will think i am on drugs, (especially those who have never been to the rest of the balkans) but its the plain reality.

You're not on drugs but your comments sound if you're the enemy within.

Speak about yourself only and not on behalf of the Greek macedonians.

Steven,
both albanian and greek nationalism is the product of british foreign policy in the balkans of the last 200 years.
Your observation is very correct about the parallels between greece-albania-kosovo.

My dream is someday Greece to be like our ancestors used be and in par with the rest of the advanced balkan countries (ex-YU, Bulgaria)

i know many of my countrymen will think i am on drugs, (especially those who have never been to the rest of the balkans) but its the plain reality.

Theodoros
greece conquerd macedonia and trace from the ottoman empire in 1913!
macedonia was split between serbia/greece/bulgaria
at that time lived many native ppl there who were slavic or turkish speaking
christians and muslims
greece ethnically cleansed the natives of the region to turkey/serbia/bulgaria or even killed or assimilated them!
like kosovo albanians are doing now in kosovo.
then in addition more then 600k greeks from turkey were settled in the macedonia region alone.
and those settled pontic greeks claim to be macedonians. Be realistic pls!!

Theodore,
it's like the 10000000000th time i hear from my countrymen that the bad communists were the main cause of all evel in the balkans.
SURPRISE!!!
While the "bad" communists were in charge, we had far fewer problems world-wide and DEFINITELY we had better relations with our neighbors, no FYROM problem, no islamic extremism, turkey was weaker, heck even the albanians were kept (happy) inside their country.
Well, i dont know if communism was good or bad (or ugly), i am just making observations, and those cant hide the truth.
PS
You know very well who is behind FYROM's pseudo-ancient-makedonism, (and of course behind Greece's ultra-ancient-nationalism).
If you don't, i cant help it.

Marjan I, and all Hellenes all over the world, don't care if Yugoslavia had 1 or 1000 cantons or provinces or whatever you wish to name them. Your Yugoslav communist forfathers caused this disaster (along with many others in the Balkans) to try and usurp Northern Greece during and after WW2 and you are still pouring fuel onto a burning fire. Please save your lectures for your friends at the local bar because Hellenic history will never be stolen and we will fight for every single inch of our land, culture, history and Church.
Take care.

Theodoros, you keep to reffering to Macedonia as Vardarska Banovina even though you don't what banovina means. In the 1920's Yugoslavia was artificially separated in 9 banovinas (provinces) whose borders were intentionally drawn so that they would not correspond to boundaries between ethnic groups. They were political and administrative units, not republics or ethnic territories.

So, please, inform yourself and stop being Greekdiculous.

As long as the far-right nationalist Gruevski sticks to his policy of trying to create a new myth for his people - by falsely connecting them to the ancient Greek history
there won't be a solution.

Fyrom's dilemma is self-inflicted by appropriating a historical name belonging to others and is forcing Gruevski and his VMRO party to make territorial and cultural claims that are unfounded in order to justify their propaganda.

The Greek position is not nationalistic. The fact that we object to the stealing of our historical and cultural identity doesn't make us nationalists.

Any nation state has the right to express itself, including FYROM, but that right must be tempered with huge doses of reality when the perceived right is based on lies and fiction.

In your artcle and your website you keep referring to Вардарска бановина (Vardaska Banovina) as Macedonia.
Macedonia is a province of the Hellenic Republic. You are misinforming your readership that this "entity" in the south of the FYROM is a recognized state by the UN, NATO and the EU. It is not recognized by any international organization and it will not be until the Nimitz talks are concluded.
Frankly, you are angering all Hellenes, one of your closest political supports in your fight against the recognition of Kosova.
Regards,
Ted
