It seems to me that Mr. Fitzgerald hasn't a clue about what's happening in Kosovo i Metohija.
I do know that if what happened in Southern Serbia in 1999 and since, were to happen in the Southern USA, Mr. Fitzgerald would have very different ideas.

Only if Serbia officials request it (not B92 posters) and NATO agrees then a certain number could come back and maintain a presence under international supervision, I see no problem with that. Of course it may be an unarmed command depending on what the leaders of Kfor will agree to.

Yes, a nation of people who live the pampered high life on credit and thought they could do it forever are in deep, deep trouble. And not only them.

Once the yankees wake up to smell the coffee and finally realize the deep black hole they are in, the first ones to feel the heat will be those foreign governments who rely on Uncle Sam for huge donations to prop them up ...... yes someone really is in trouble, someone much much nearer to you .....

Mister american Admiral - read Annex 2 point 6 Resolution 1244. Serbian personnel should back to Kosovo for cover serbian heritage.

“Any parallel structure poses a threat to security and peaceful surroundings,” he said, and warned that KFOR would react if “parallel” structures “resorted to violence”.

Another United States of Windbags opens his big mouth. What is KFOR going to do? Last time they attempted to put in place customs on the administrative borders of Kosovo and Serbia and gee that went really well.
Where do they get these exceptionally stupid people? The US must purposefully look for the most idiotic individuals to admit to West Point. I have never in my life seen a greater collection of inept and incompetent military officials as is currently in US uniform, but then again the US is in Iraq and Afghanistan, perhaps Fizgerald is not aware of their great success in both placed.

The Albanians in Pristina are promoting Kosovo as a successful, multi-ethnic, harmonious society - but, oh yah, we need police 24/7 to guard Serbian churches from their peace-loving Albanian neighbors. Nice little hell-hole the US/EU created in the Balkans.

Well, a UDI is not in line with 1244 for sure!

Time the Albanians accept that they also have to obey international law!

GUARD churches and monasteries? Well, from your fellows' previous statements the message was that Kosovo is a wonderful multi-ethnic, diverse and democratic society with solid institutions and fast advancing towards a bright future of peace and prosperity. Now you spoil the show and make it sound like a failed state living in internal conflict. Which one is right?
