I love how many here feel free to interject into someones comments to get the meaning they want to hear.
Voinovich was against the bombing of Serbia but he has always 100% supported the independence of Kosovo. Even when Tadic visited he went on record then as saying indepndence is a done deal and Serbia needed to face that fact.
But I do stand behind my claim he would be an OK Presidential candidate, though I would not pin any hopes on a secret agenda, if I were you.

"I dought that his visit to Belgrade is to insist that Serbia play along with America's failed policy in the Balkans.

(svojgazda, 19 February 2010 17:10)"

Of course he didn't support Clinton's policy in the past - he was and is a Republican. Don't worry about any secret messages to the Serb government this time, though - he's accompanied by a Democrat of non-Serbian descent.

Thanks for the link on senator George Voinovich, Pyrros. I dought that his visit to Belgrade is to insist that Serbia play along with America's failed policy in the Balkans. And Kosovo-USA, do you just make stuff up to suit yourself. Please get some of your facts straight, you have next to zero credibility as it is.

k-usa says that Voinovich..."Afterwards , he even supported the bombing of Serbia over Kosova/o."

Not true.

Are you related to 'hazel' because the two of you often write utter nonsense.

He would make a decent President I think, as far as his view on Kosovo, read-

"With regards to Kosovo, Tadić said that the issue should be solved before the International Court of Justice, and added that Serbia would never recognize Kosovo's illegally declared independence, defending its integrity by peaceful, legal, and diplomatic means."

Waite, does this make sense to anyone, if so please explain. They want to solve the issue, but regardless of its outcome, Serbia will never recognize Kosovo? Then why ask ICJ in the first place, what miracle statement from ICJ is Tadic waiting for? Jason, help us out, what does your sources in UNMIK tell you?

Ha ha ha! Kosovo-usa Pyrros really got you! Then again the comments of k-usa are never accurate. Just made up mumbo jumbo. K-usa never supports a claim. He just makes up stories as he comments on articles.

Early in his first term Voinovich was a harsh critic of President Clinton’s decision to authorize air strikes on Serbia, where his father was from. He said bombing would only further inflame the region.
"

Dear Kosova-USA, will you write a decent comment (half-true) just for once?

"Kosovo, Tadić said that the issue should be solved before the International Court of Justice, and added that Serbia would never recognize Kosovo's illegally declared independence,"

LOL, contradiction and hypocrisy in one go,
but at least he mentioned ICJ before the usual retarded comment of not accepting the ICJ's decision.

Now that Tadic has hosted Americans that are pro Kosovo, why wont the ultra Serbs call him a traitor, or even better why didnt Tadic storm out?
good luck to him

Vojnovic for president of USA!
(Pyrros, 19 February 2010 10:21)

Senator from OH, with Serb ethnic backround came to convince and/or pressure Tadic to listen to Uncle SAM , or else Serbia will head towards abyss.
George initiated the resolution to potray KLA as terrorist outfit but never made it. Afterwards , he even supported the bombing of Serbia over Kosova/o.
As far as him becoming a US President, is out of the question.
