In general, what happens to properties after it has been seized?? does the government sell it for the local market rate or is it sold for whatever amount of money is left outstanding?

In the States it is just auctioned out by the Federals. The way it is organized there is somewhat mystical for me.

I would not be really interested in any case because of:

- who knows the history of involved cars?
- the homes are (even if the price would be affordable) designed for obviously different taste than "normal"
- how it feels to drive the same car or live where some infamous people did?
- not a good "sign", not a good karma the Orientals would say... and they are probably right. You never know what is going to hunt you.

Ideally, buy the house or car new or know the owner. I guess, if economic situation is such - buying a bank foreclosure is OK for both, I won't mind. But buying confiscated property at drug administration auction is not what I dream about.

Bravo, that's the way to go, no mercy for these criminals!

These goodies (just see what they have!) are also "ego-extenders" and "genital area extenders". Fully understand from psychological point of view. The court did hit where it hurts them most: money and goodies. Somehow I don't feel sorry.
