Hungary is now sunk into series of corruption scandals. Not sure about Romania - but Hungary has/had quite a few construction corruption cases. I am not very fond of the upcoming Orbán government, but according them these ex-Comrade-now-businessmen will be more accountable (won't hold my breath back tough).

As for Serbia - there was that case few years ago about Hungarians involved in Prokop Railway Station ("Железничка станица Београд Центар"), than withdrawing and everyone accusing each other about corruption. I am sure, both sides were 100% right accusing the other with corruption and breach of contract. That's the way it is - Hungary is no less Balkan than Serbia. I guess, same applies to every post-Communist country.

On the other hand, "your" Italy is the synonym for best business ethics, crystal-clear government, no involvement of organized crime in the business.
