You have to wonder how the financially strapped American taxpayer would feel if they knew their govt. was spending $117 million dollars of their hard-earned tax dollars to build a new embassy.

Roger, if there is no-one to buy US bonds it sells them to the Fed, who just print dollars. I'm not sure of the exact amount but I'd say over a trillion dollars have been printed in the last couple of years. Easy money eh?

The side effect is inflation and a devaluation of the dollar. The less US bonds China buys, the more inflation you can expect with a weaker dollar. Soon you'll be earning just as much as the average Chinaman.

This is certainly not a good sign, alot of Embassies house CIA operations. This in fact very BAD news for the the Sovereign freedom of the Republic.

First they-US-Nato bombed Maršalat...then they bought that same land for nothing...and now they are building the Headquarter of the Serbia Concertration Camp they will be ruling from there.

You keep your friends close, but your enemies even closer. Let them live in their pretence world that they matter – the US builds new embassies while its unemplyed lives in tents. Maybe they have freedsom and democracy to keep them warm during winter months. Gee, this reminds me of the last days of Rome.

Well Serbia voted in the government which allows this. A government which only temporarily, for show, suspended diplomatic relations with the U.S., then goes on as if nothing happened.

Why does Serbia keep voting in the puppets?

Milosevic warned of all that would happen; warned against the false promises of Otpor and how Serbia would be prosperous if only they got rid of him. Instead unemployment is greater than it was under his time during sanctions and much deeper in dept.

The biggest CIA and NSA base is allready built in Skopje where the new US Embassy was built from the scratch on the top of a hill as you enter Skopje.

In the first instance US equipment is so far overated it borders on the ludicious, but what good is any of this stuff if the US/EU cannot win a war against cave dwellers?
