Interesting how the Russians never say that Kosovo is not going to become independent. They only underline that everything should go through the Security Council.

Interesting also that the Radicals in Serbia agree to subscribe to this position, which is of course good for Serbia, but only as long as the Russians say so.

I wonder if Abkhazia and South Ossetia are the price to pay by the West for the stability in the Balkans.

Any Serb who thinks that the Russians are doing this based on friendship is dreaming under the sun. Shame on the Radicals for trying to sell the myth.

You’re now looking to the Radicals to recognize Kosovo; it will be a very cold day in hell when that happens. The Radicals will be the instrument which will keep the Serbians Governments cooperating with Russia. They don’t trust Tadic or any of his Ministers as they are on the EU’s payroll.

The Russians have always said that they support Serbia and its people and it’s up to them to decide who or what to recognize and, as a result, the Russians want everything to go to the UN Security Council. So what’s new about that?
You can forget Abkhazia and South Ossetia because the Russians don’t care if the west recognizes them as independent countries because they will be intergrated into the Russian Federation anyway.
If you think the US is “helping” the Albanians in Kosovo because they are your special friends then you really are dreaming.

Did Russia asked Serbia for recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia? How can Russia protect the RS1244, when it is not respecting any Resolution about the territorial integrity of Georgia?!

The RS1244 is not protecting the sovereignty over Kosovo as the UNSC RS does for Georgia.

After SNS wakeup call in Odzaci, RUS is seeing that cooperation with SRS is more essential or the opposition will be paralyzed. RUS supports Tadic but they know that his loyalty is bought, they want to ensure that he isnt too strong & that Nikolic doesnt emulate him if he comes to power either. SRS dont need to be bought out, they've always been loyal & RUS needs them to counterbalance SNS in any future govt, just like SPS balances DS from going too westward.
