Notice the markings on the roadmap.
1. EU wants to bring North into Kosovo fold, but how can do it without making Serbia look like they are losing.
2. Plan is announced, Serbia increases the rhetoric pledging absolute support for Serbs in the north.
3. However, due to budget constraints Serbia will no longer be able to finance the paralell institutions, as the money runs out the institutions begin to fade.
4. Serbia reinterates their disgust, but Kosovo gets what it wants, EU gets what it wants, and Serbia is rewarded with more treats from the EU for facilitating the whole thing.
(pss, 27 January 2010 01:08)

1. EU can nothing, becouse EU as organization DON'T RECOGNIZED Kosovo as "independent". So - every action in Kosovo they must discuss with Serbia.
2. Plan - is only plan and nothing more. Similar to so called "Athisaari Plan" - which is nothing more than piece of paper.

Here is some news for you and it’s a tad socking – the EU is running out of money and it’s tightening its budget. All of this nonsense is for the Albanians who are left without jobs, a future or even a promise of anything happening that’s positive in the next 20 years at the rate things are going.
The EU is not really interested in integrating the north with the south it’s all wind. I’ll make an announcement then you pretend to be shocked then we can all go back to our normal lives.
If you disagree please list all benefits given to the Albanians to date since 1999 and I mean real benefits not that freedom and democracy nonsense that espoused regularly.

Zoran,

Now who believes in this rubbish? Even our Serbian-Albanian posters here have stopped repeating such nonsense.

The fact is that independence is irreversibly blocked so what we have is the status quo.

Until the leaders are ready to negotiate, the province and especially ethnic Albanians are stuck. It's time for change.
(Zoran, 23 January 2010 15:09)
Today you write
If Kosovo is truly independent why the need to repeat it so frequently? Why don't we get Montenegrins here on a daily basis repeating Montenegro's independence?
The epitome of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" you think?

Re: "Mr. Ivanovic, nothing is impossible, there are only advantages to Kosova ... When was Serbia bombed to the stone age? I recall Serbian military controlling virtually ALL of Kosovo (in some instances even parts of Albania during throughout the bombing campaign). Serbian forces only withdrew after Nato was forced to rewrite their rambouillet agreement to more of what Serbia offered. Even stating that Kosovo was Serbian (then Yugoslav) territory. The Albanians had to agree to drop independence demands and disband the UCK. Sound familiar? The U.S. & Albanians did not honor their word though... big surprise.

Who says Kosovo is independent? The Albanians? The U.S. and their puppet states? Wake up dude... you are NOT independent. Serbia and the overwhelming majority of the world do not recognize your fake state. Get use to it... Things wont change unless Serbia decides what she wants to do with her southern province.

You think you can take control of the North? Thats funny, cause the Bosnians though the same would happen with Republika Srpska... that was 15 years ago, and the RS seems to be waiting for the cue from the international court of justice whether its legal for a minority to declare independence from from a sovereign state.

Cheers,

Maximilian - NATO aggresion against independent european country, without war declaration - was impossible for the peoples from the end of 20th century. But for Americans international law is nothing. Nobody expected this from country who is "motherland of democracy".

Pseudoindependent of illegal separatist state - is to break of international law.

Taking control of North Kosovo by lawless, poor, illegal pseudostate without aggresion - is impossible. Here live citizens of Serbia and this part of Kosovo is loyal to their motherland.

You Albanians and Your protectors - like to break law.

Fair enough that Serbia has to fit EU requirements - but the reality in Europe is that all countries can put limits on what the EU can do.
